I just recently got a dreamcast, and Skies of Arcadia was one of the reasons, so I\'m not too unhappy with delay news... :D

Other than Shenmue and PSO v1, what Dreamcast games are worth buying... I know there are a bunch, and they\'re just so damn cheap :)

SEGA is obviously trying to kiss up to M$ arse and hopes to be the \'Square\' for M$...fat chance. They\'re not in the same league.

Anyway, I still suspect they harbor ill will towards SONY for taking down the Saturn and eventually(indirectly) forced them out of the hardware business.

yeah, and u guys could just be rite. I won\'t be suprised if they announce to discontinue support for the PS2 due to "difficult to program for" or some other bull**** later on.

I doubt this is the case.  If Sega couldn\'t keep its\' own system alive, how could they be a system seller third party for another console?

I disagree...Sega is in the business to make money like everyone else.  It would be plain silly for Sega to believe they are doing any harm to PS2 by not supporting it...

Sega released arguably their biggest franchise exclusive to PS2...VF4.  I wouldn\'t consider that ill will...

There\'s a few others besides what Ginko listed that\'s really worth checking into.

Alien Front Online
The NFL, NBA, NHL, Ect.. 2k series
Air Force Delta (Ace Combat Clone)
Quake III Arena (If you don\'t already have it on PC)
Seaman (It\'s.. um.. different. Worth checking out)

Those are the ones I can testify for anyhow, since I own them. Go to Planet Dreamcast and check out some reviews there for some great DC games. I hear Soldier of Fortune is pretty good, if you don\'t loadtimes long enough to take a bathroom break between levels. :D

A few games you should avoid like the plauge:

Seventh Cross Evolution
Carrier
ESPN International Track & Field
AeroDancing 1 & 2

I had all of them this weekend, and took them all back. Careful what you buy, because most people are collecting Dreamcasts and games seein as how it\'s Sega\'s last system. About all that\'s left is crap like The Grinch and Tee-Off Golf, plus the ocassional turds like I mentioned above.

BTW: If you\'ve already got PSOv.1, PM me and set up a time when you\'re going to be online so we can meet up and exchange guild cards. Dunno if you should even bother trying to get Ashford\'s or Altered\'s card.. they\'re never playing and when they do.. it\'s never when they say they\'re going to be on.

I would definitely recommend Virtua Tennis if you can buy a copy from anywhere.
It is great fun and if you can get 3 other people to play with is one of the best multiplayer titles I have ever known.

No no no:eek:

It\'s because I suck at the game...I rocked on the one for Saturn, then I bought the DC version and it\'s whooped my ass ever since:confused:

If you like lightgun games, House of the Dead 2, and Confidential Mission are excellent.  I dunno if you could find a lightgun now though.  It sucks playing with the controller!

Anyone whos into SOA should just buy a DC and get the game. The whole console and game probably only cost a little more than what the actual PS2 game will cost when its launched. Not only that but it will allow you to play the other PS2 DC ports which are no different to the DC originals.

As a company though Sega must be doing something right as they haven\'t been this finacially sound in a long time. Lets face it X-Box and Nintendo Gamecube are the next generation of console. I think by releasing newer games it will help keep the market rolling and prehaps be a knock in Sony\'s monopoly. Of course being a PS2 owner this isn\'t great news but its not like the PS2 will die because of it and progress is generally a good thing.

My personal opinion on the matter is Sega does harbor some ill towards Sony, because in a lot of ways Sony did push Sega out of the console business. Then there is also the fact that developing for the PS2 takes more resources and longer to do and still does not always equal a perfect port (see: GRandia 2) . Combine those things and you have Sega making their PS2 development plans smaller and smaller. At the same time, E3 is around the corner and plenty of PS2 support could be announced out of nowhere, maybe new franchises  (like GunGrave and Rez).

Hardly "next generation" - the same generation, but not next. And as explained in your other thread, Sony does not have a monopoly (look up definition of monopoly).

SonyFan...

YOU\'RE THE ONE WHO DECIDED TO LEAVE PSO!!!

BAH!!!

Ever since I got V2, I\'ve been on regularly since I\'m paying for it now.

Name the time and place...

I made a new character and she\'s Lvl 31 so we can level up our characters together.
July 2002: If you had bought $1000.00 worth of Nortel stock one year ago, it would now be worth $49.00. Enron, $16.50 left. Worldcom, $5.00 left. If you had bought $1,000.00 worth of Budweiser beer one year ago, drank it all and turned in the cans for the 10 cent deposit, you would have $214.00. Based on the above, my current investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle.
