Big Online Game Coming to PS2

Word on the street is there is a HUGE online game coming to PS2. And we\'re going to learn a lot more about it soon, very, very soon. The company\'s drive to provide one of the most popular online games on the PC may bring it to the PS2 soon, perhaps this year. Ever felt like going on a quest for new games? Wow, us too...

if sony wants to use its everquest series on the ps2, planetside and Starwars Galaxies are sure to follow

I instantly thought about Planetside too. After all, there was said to be Halo-Killer in the works by some devision at Sony. The only thinig that could kill Halo as a game, would be an online FPS. And PlanetSide sounds like it... mass multiplayer online game. Does anyone know if this was ever said to come to PS2?

i read about a new secret FPS from sony & criterion out of psm2 magazine here in the uk heres what it says

"If you\'re sick of shovel-handed Xbox owners wobbling on about Halo, prepare for a pleasant surprise. According to the latest rumours, Criterion\'s forthcoming first-person shooter - first rumoured in june last year - might even be better. Though nothing\'s been officially confirmed, sources within the company are said to be big fans of Goldeneye, Medal of Honour and, yes, Halo. An independant programming source has confirmed that Microsoft\'s premier title is definately possible on PS2 - hinting that Sony\'s machine has plenty of untapped power. I have not heard anything about PlanetSide. Is it going to have a one player as well? I presume so, cos it will need to if its gonna be a Halo beater. Anyone got any other info on Planetside?

Otherwise, good news I think, I\'m really lookin forward to the PS2 going online....

I think we will see all three on PS2. Everquest, Planetside and Starwars Galaxies.

Planetside might make it to the PS2 later on, but the game is far form being completed for th PC

same goes for Star Wars Galaxies

The game is too ambitious to be built and debugged on 2 platforms simulataneously, and it would easier to build and debug on the PC 1st
