I\'ve been looking all over for a cheap yet suitable notebook for me as a school/DVD player/on-line beater.  Aiming mostly at the Sony GR series.  So far I come up with no luck on finding it cheap; so here\'s when you guys come into play...:eyemouth:

A cheap Sony notebook?  It\'d be easier to find the Ark of the Covenant. :)

I\'m sorry, but Sony blows.  They are just a pop culture notebook.  I would suggest a Toshiba Satellite.  They are cheaper than Sony, and are better in every aspect.

Get a Dell. They have the best gfxcards... not especially cheap though. I think the new Dell Inspiron 8200 has DDR, Geforce 4 Go and a mobile Pentium 4 processor... pretty nice.
RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAPETIME!
(thanks Chizzy!)
