They delete your character if you don\'t meet certain time requirements. I think you have to play with him for 2 hours within the first day he is made, and then at least once every 3 months to keep him from being deleted.
As for the mercs, if you have LOD, move the cursor over their pictures and left click. You can check stats, and equip them there.
Some advice for the sorc. Focus on only one element. Ice is usually the best one to go for. The only exception to this rule: you\'re gonna want to max out warmth.
