Just writing to say, I saw the Resident Evil movie and it\'s brilliant!
It\'s really sppoky, cheesy, gory and the licker, zombie dogs and zombies are there...
Milla Jovovich was really good and I know the old games to movies conversation will crop up and nobody will like it but this movie is the best of the bunch of them and yes even better than the average \'\'Lara Croft:Tomb Raider\'\'

Trust me go when it\'s out!
Ladies, ladies, LADIES!...Jay and Silent Bob are in the hizz-house!

I wouldn\'t say "amazing," but it\'s definately better than Tomb Raider.

I also noticed that you put cheesy down as a good thing, I\'m sure if you like/expect occasional cheesiness, then it\'s a better movie.

Bah, I\'m way over twenty and found it very entertaining. If your expectations aren\'t raised too high going in it will not disappoint. I mean, come on... this is a movie with zombies in it for crying out loud. Looking for some high art or what?

It was good for what it was trying to be... ie a horror movie... in fact, it was a very good horror movie.  I took a girl who really, really doesn\'t like... erm... tense movies.. and it played right into my hands... heh heh heh.. or should I say.... she......

Forgive me father mm, for I have sinned in my preference for a modern day high budget fast paced thriller over no budget campy cheese, with mold on it much older than the average age of the members on this forum. Had my fill and that brand of horror lost its flavour to me long ago. So bad it\'s good? No thanks.

To top things off, I saw Night of the Living Dead before you were born and thought it was overated back then, even if it was made for 1.5 Gs. But hey, that\'s just MO

romero and fulci knew how to put something called suspense in thier films.

you must be hella old then if you saw NOTLD when it 1st came out in \'68

some people just reconize good cinema and others just see pretty lights and swirling colors
who\'s to argue?

I have seen it and didn\'t like it much. It sucked and was the worst piece of crap I have seen. The ending was the worst how long did she was there months?

I be hella old

saw rerelease of NOTLD at the midnight flicks in the early 70\'s, famous for showing cult flicks while the audience blew reeefer, made jokes, and yucked it up. If that wasn\'t before you were born, pardon me but at least call it close enough. Kay?

From an early age (12?) I never appreciated Hitchco(k, master of suspense, because there was usually almost always the sense for me the suspense was totally phony. Today I would say- too contrived. I know I be in the tiny minority, as you say, who\'s to argue?

Interesting side note: these days North by Northwest is considered by some as so bad that it\'s  thought of as campy. Good cinema be damned, maybe at a tender age I was just ahead of my time?

Resident Evil is a good rental. Don\'t see it in the theater....

Blade 2 is a much better flick.

Has anyone seen the "redone" version of Night of the Living Dead that they have been playing on Cinemax lately? It was the original 60\'s release, but with "new" footage. But the new scenes were incredibly stupid; it was like they had no money and asked a college drama class to do them. WTF is up with that priest????
The fire still burns...
