Ah, that was a good question.  The answer is that during Episodes 4-6, everything is made off of an industrial line, barely any ships are custom made, and therefore are made cheaply to conserve money.  In Episode 1, most ships aren\'t mass-produced machines.  Old ships like Slave1 and the Millenium Falcon are 2 examples. (from what I\'ve heard)

My coworker\'s cousin works for ILM, and was hand-picked By Lucas to be a female twi-lek Jedi warrior in some of the battle scenes.( she\'s 5\'9" and stacked!)  I saw a picture of her in her costume. The article she showed me said that her character was based on the cover of a Dark Horse Comic book cover depicting a jedi like that. She looks cool... they gave her a name, so they will probably make an action figure of her..... I\'ll try to find a link...hold on

That\'s because in episodes 1 2 3 they were rich.. but after all the jedi was destroyed etc and the republic/senate was destoryed.. They became poor, and struggled to get cash to build ships etc...

When the jedi are wiped out... spoil spoil...

the economy pretty much went with it.
\"In the last 12 months 100,000 private sector jobs have been lost and yet you\'ve created 30,000 public sector jobs. Prime Minister, you cannot carry on forever squeezing the productive bit of the economy in order to fund an unprecidented engorgement of the unproductive bit. You cannot spend your way out of recession or borrow your way out of debt.\" - Daniel Hannan

Hawke, I did not get excited by the trailers either. But when I layed my eyes upon the numerous TV-spots, I had cold waves run through my spine. Jango Fett -spot, Clone Troopers -spot and Samuel L. Jackson -spot really made me squearm.

I must say that I\'ve seen a couple of trailers in tv and cinema programs and the movie looks pretty nice. The environments are much more detailed that in episode 1 and some of the scenes (race among the builds) are simply impressive.
Todas estas cosas se perderán en el tiempo como lágrimas en la lluvia.

It is not the visual glamour that attracts me, Adan. It is the possibility of a grand plot - an epic adventure which it seems to be. The eye-candy is just a plus - an addition. I can not wait to see the first REAL Star War ;)

I will go and see it. It will apparently make watching Episode 1 more enjoyable because of how the plot unfolds. The role of Jar Jar Binks, for instence, will bacome more important than he seamed in Episode 1.

That I have heard, Max. Yet I am glad that Jar-Jar holds no big of a role in Episode II. He was annoying in The Phantom Menace, and will remain so - no matter how important his part would have been.

Since my Episode II thread was pretty much ignored I\'ll just move it here...

The following are spoliers - do not read them if you want to remain surprised...

I know these things from having read the book last week. It was very very good and was in fact so interesting that I read through it easily in two sittings. About Jar Jar - his on screen time seems to be pretty short, but his role is very big.

Spoliers....

- Count Dooku is Darth Sidious\'s new apprentice Lord Tyranus

- Jango Fett is the host for the clones in the Clone Army

- Jango Fett is hired by the Neimodians to assasinate Senator Amidala

- Jango Fett hires bounty hunter Zam Weesle(sp) to do his dirty work

- Jango Fett kills Zam Weesle when she is captured by the Jedi

- Anakins mother is killed by Tusken Raiders

- Anakin kills the tusken raiders that killed his mother(dozens of them and their wives and children) in a rage infuriated scene which hints at Anakins future with the dark side

- Jar Jar Binks holds a position of power with Naboo and represents Naboo as it\'s senator when Padme Amidala is away

- Chancellor Palpatine is granted special powers to create a Clone Army for the Republic - the vote to grant him these powers was initiated by Jar Jar Binks

- Boba Fett is an exact clone of Jango Fett

- Jango Fett nearly kills Obi Wan Kenobi multiple times in their battle

- Jango Fett is killed(decapitated) by Mace Windu in the Arena on the planet Gen***(cant remember the spelling)

- Count Dooku cuts Anakins forearm off near the end in a lightsaber duel

- Count Dooku twice wounds Obi Wan Kenobi in a lightsaber duel near the end of the movie

- Yoda comes to Anakin and Obi Wan\'s rescue and battles Count Dooku in a lightsaber duel - Dooku is overwhelmed by Yoda, retreats, and escapes

- At the end of the movie Anakin marries Senator Amidala

- Count Dooku lives and of course so does Darth Sidious
