Hi, I\'m thinking of buying a new console and had my eyes on the ps2. Therefore I have some questions I hope you can answer :)

- Is the ps2 maxed out? By that I mean; Are the games that has been released already as good as you can get it on a ps2?

- When will the ps3 be released? Should I wait for that instead?

- Seeing as both nintendo and microsoft has lowered the prices on their consoles will sony do the same with the ps2?

PS3 is looking to be released 2008 or 2009

it could be later due to the sucess ofthe PS2 (seeing that there is well over 35 Million world wide and the fact that PS2 weekly sales are out selling X box 40 to 1 in Japan)


Also there is strong rumours that a price Drop will be released around E3.

and no the PS2 is Far from begin Maxed out !

I think that you should buy the PS2 now!!  Unless you want to wait untill who knows when for PS3...anyway, by that time you have a PS3 you will have children bugging you to play and that means less play time for you:p

Sony were planning on supporting the PS2 for 10 years initially, hence why the architecture is as versitile as it is.. but i think they have reconsidered and are planning for a 2006 release of the PS3..

and waiting for the PS3 is just.. dont do it  :)

Yeah Get the Ps2. Alot of good games that u probably havent played yet are on the greatest hits line. I bought ATV off road furry. 19.99 There are alot of good games on the market so u wont have to wait like alot of us did for the big itles such as MGS2, GT3, GTA3, and FFX. Now is the time to buy.

The PS2 is far from maxxed out....

We will see some significant inprovements to top games from top developers throughout the life of the PS2  (lesser games will still not match up, but since the PS2 is easily the #1 console lesser developers will pump out crap and still make money just be smart and research the games before you buy)  

PS3 will not be around till 2006 so unless you want to wait for
4 1/2 years I suggest grabbing a PS2 now
