Does ne1 else think that the name PS3 is a bit unimaginitive coz the rest have been called PS1 and PS2 isn\'t it gonna get a bit boring agter a while, they should try 2 think of a new name at least:) :)

Actually, I read something on a portable PS2 called the PS3.  Might be interseting.  I know I would end up buying it... Nothing like playing your PS2 on an airplaine, or bring it on your 2 week road trip! ;)

yeah who cares what its called....i dont im happy with my ps2 at the mo, s  don really care, they can call it what ever they want, mybe it wont include playstaion in the name, but really who cares, you should bemore worriedabout its poer etc...but not for a few years yet

The Playstation brand is too well known worldwide for them to change it.

Its definately going to be called Playstation 3.

They need to give it a really long name... Like: playidious maximious the 3rd generation.  Or yeah, PS3...  I kind of like PS3 anyway.... You know, Playstation... to the 3rd power ;)

I think they should name it something like Playstation 3, but instead of a number, add a cool word.  Like Playstation Pot.

Sony has invested a LOT of money into the "Playstation" name... Its something that everyone is familiar with, just like "Pentium" I wouldn\'t expect sony to change to a different name anytime soon...

Sony has already registered "Playstation 3", so the next Playstation will be Playstation 3, and I think Sony has already confirmed this, when they announce who would be developing it..........
