SSX Tricky
« on: April 30, 2002, 08:26:35 AM »
I own the game SSX Tricky and I think its absolutely brilliant.
However when I play it with my friend on split screen The game drops to a pretty low framerate.Especially in the later levels wich are bigger and more detailed. Is this something to worry about or is this everyones problem and am I just being a wanker to ***** about it?

Any help.

Is there an option where you can lower the graphics detail or something of that sort?

I wouldn\'t know since I never experience any framerate problems.

I\'m the only man on earth that thinks SSX is better than SSX Tricky.

No, you\'re not the only one.  Though I didn\'t really think the first was that great either, I do like it a whole heck of a lot more than Tricky.  I really don\'t understand the love for SSX, I like the less flashy, more realistic, snowboarding games more.

You guys are crazy. SSX TRICKY IS SSX. Just with new characters and modified tracks. So I can\'t see at all how you like the first one better.

And god I think normal snowboarding games are the most boring pieces of crap on shelves. I mean, the point of playing videogames is to take things to the extreme that you can\'t do in real life.

So I\'m guessing the only sports games you like are the ones made my Midway and the only racing games you like are unrealistic arcade racers?

The modified tracks in Tricky weren\'t nearly as good as the tracks in the original SSX.  And nothing matches the very last level in SSX.  It was amazing but they had to go and ruin it for Tricky.

Actually...:

Football - Madden 2002
Baseball - High Heat Baseball 2003
Basketball - Kobe Bryant Courtside

All very realistic titles.... However I have yet to come across a good realistic/fun snowboarding title. Perhaps just after playing SSX Tricky I can\'t accept a fun one...

cos hough they were re designed, i came first straight away....they were too similar!!!!!! i would rather had the old tracks plus 10 new ones or something

This wasn\'t really meant to be a sequel, just more of a Director\'s Cut.

Untracked, for SSX that board is badass.
