Okay, I forgot where I found this information, but I remember seeing it somewhere.. =P
Anyways, I\'m not sure how many of you know about this, but Sony recently have stopped selling the PS2BB unit, or the HDD drive. Now they only offer it through ISPs, where you could sign up for an ISP and then receive the BB unit for a certain monthly fee. I found this to be kind of weird, because I wouldn\'t be able to get my hands on one, since I don\'t even have a phone line installed in my room here (phone line costs like 700 US dollars to get installed).
Anyways the point of this post is that I found out somewhere that on
http://www.isao.net you could buy an HDD unit if you sign up for an account with them. The account is supposedly free as long as you dont use any of their services, and so I decided to sign up, and order the HDD drive. With shipping and handling and taxes, the total came out to USD 150, which is an average to good price for a hard drive plus ethernet connection. Anyways, hopefully the thing arrives, and if it does, I\'ll post some of my reactions as to what the HDD drive actually does for games and stuff. As for the ethernet, I wont be able to test it because I wont be getting a broadband internet connection anytime soon, and coming this July, I plan on moving back to the states.
My only hope is that I can play Japanese online games in the U.S. using the Japanese HDD unit.... I hope...
