I really like the FPS setup that has come the way of out console, for example TS and Halo(which IMO has the best control setup ever). I much prefer these to a mouse and keyboard, but thats just me

Hmmm... the PS2 can handle Halo huh?  I\'ll believe that when I see it.  For now I\'m just happy to have BOTH a PS2 and an Xbox.

Will the next "Halo killer" please step up?  Okay, let\'s just put this game in line with the rest of them...
When all is said and done...the PS2 will be remembered as the console with the best games in Fall 2001.

Allied Assault is no where near the same league as Halo.

and it has one EXTREME problem.

Scripted deaths.

If a member of your team is ment to die then theres absolutly nothing you can do to save him. But if he isn\'t ment to die he can sit and take shots all day long.

wtf is up with that? totally ruins the game in some points...

also the enemys have super accuracy which is good for a challenge but not when they shoot you in between the eyes with a pistol while you can barely see them with a sniper rifle.

gimme a break.

AA has way too many flaws and is at best an \'okay\' game.

Okay game??? Its multiplayer alone makes it one of the best FPS ever.  Nothing matches it in that aspect.  Yes, the scripted deaths is lame but I don\'t think it comes close to ruining the first player mode.  Oh, and with the whole super accuracy, I think it makes the game even.  The game is almost to easy for me.

Bah forget all these other FPS\'s,

None of them can compare to the sheer skill that it takes to play competitivly in any of the quakes (Quake 2 Deathmatch esspecially).  All these other "kings" so to speak are just pretenders that hide behind single player stories when everybody has known since 96\' that the real action is online.  One player only lasts so long....which is the same reason why quake\'s are still used in tournaments to declare people as gods of FPS\'s or whatever they do with those types of people....

In my opinion, Halo will be the best for a long time to come. Theres nothing on the horizon that comes close to matching it

actually, I think PlanetSide might be the best to come. A multiplayer game is much more fun - and at that, PlanetSide is a mass multiplayer game. You can use jeeps, run on foot and shoot everything that has legs. It\'s on one giant landscape and since it\'s a mass multiplayer game, you\'ll have different groups of players invading other players territories. Should be awesome.
