Yeah, his web shooters were made to spray inorganic webbing. He never had any webbing powers. Kinda gross, but still kinda cool the way they made it in the movie.

Comics do have "episodes". Batman has had stories in which he travels to another area outside of his usual habitat. Sometimes referred as an Episode, for its distinction from the usual storyline.

I saw it opening night, while I had to wait 3 hrs in line to get INTO the theaater...I bought my tickets a week earlier.

it was totally worth it! I\'m a HUGE comic book fan and even tho in teh comics it didn\'t have MJ in the Scenario where the movie takes place it was still an amazing movie that lived up to the hype I created in my mind.

go and see it, you\'ll have a lot of fun!  :)

Spider-Man records:

Biggest three day opening weekend ever.  Estimated at $114 million, "but some executives at rival studios said this was a conservative estimate, and would likely go higher."  (Previous records:  "Harry Potter," $90.3 million, "Jurassic Park: The Lost World," $90.2 million.)

Fastest film to reach $100 million.  (Previous records, "Harry Potter" and "Star Wars Episode I" both took five days.)

Two biggest single days in boxoffice history:  Friday 5/3/02 = $39.3 million.  Saturday 5/4/02 = $43.7 million.  First time a film has ever grossed more than $40 million in one day.  (Previous record:  "Harry Potter," $33.5 million, which was the ONLY other film to take in more than $30 million in one day).

More than twice Sony\'s previous best opening weekend, "Men in Black" which took in $51.1 million on it\'s opening in 1997.

In the comics (and cartoons, games, etc.) Peter Parker created "web-shooters", or guantlets that could spray webbing, after he figured that "Spider-Man" needed some sort of web. In the movie, this is changed. Parker develops an organic webbing that secretes from his wrists. Why they did that, I dunno, but it\'s kinda cool.

Peter Parker was still in high school. A bit much for a 12th grade graduate to come up with a gadget like that, so they decided to make the spider bit even more lethal and make him have the ability to spin his own organic web. :p All he needs are 6 more eyes and 4 more limbs and he\'ll truly be a spider man..... :D

just came back from watching it, sold out this weekend, so went today after an exam.
possible spoiler...
even though he was in the 12th grade, he was suppose to be a genius or something, so there is a chance he could have made a gadget that shoots out the web stuff, but just remember the characteristics of the spiders that he was (**SPOILER** bitten by **SPOILER**).

Right-o. I think this "saga" also featured the punisher. And is a teenage genius who can create web-shooters any less believeable than a radioactive Spider-Man? :D
