According to the paper yesterday, it\'s absolutely packed with continuity errors.

If you are gonna say something like this, support your conviction, don\'t just leave us hanging thinking, how the hell does he know this, then we tend not to believe ya if you don\'t support your statement with any evidence or proof.

Fastest film to reach $100 million.  (Previous records, "Harry Potter" and "Star Wars Episode I" both took five days.)

Two biggest single days in boxoffice history:  Friday 5/3/02 = $39.3 million.  Saturday 5/4/02 = $43.7 million.  First time a film has ever grossed more than $40 million in one day.  (Previous record:  "Harry Potter," $33.5 million, which was the ONLY other film to take in more than $30 million in one day).

More than twice Sony\'s previous best opening weekend, "Men in Black" which took in $51.1 million on it\'s opening in 1997.

This tells me two things.  They are charging too much damn money to get into the theaters and there are too many freaking screens out there now.  They just pack Spidey on 4 screens in one cineplex.  My God.   It\'s almost like you could go to a theater and the main movie will play every 15 minutes.

And as for Tobey Maguire.  Please do not ever let that guy do a junket again.  He is the worst interview ever.  Good they get a more boring guy to be spidey?

Still haven\'t seen the movie yet, although I really want to.  Anyone want to babysit?

The movie was good... as far as any continuity errors go, I didnt notice any... Not that I was looking for them.. I was to busy ENJOYING THE MOVIE!  some people have nothing better to do then find simple little flaws in a move (Which obviously has more positive then negative feedback).  Its a comic book story. I dont know if anyone noticed, but before the opening credits, you see in big bold letters MARVEL.  I heard someone on the radio, doggin the movie for its lack of reality.... How the hell are you gonna dislike a comic book movie because of its lack of reality???

SPIDER-MAN\'S uncle, Ben Parker, talks about being laid off "after 23 years as the head electrician." Later he makes a hash of stripping an electrical cord. No wonder they laid him off.

PETER Parker attempts to climb a building for the first time but his clothes hang forward, a clear sign the scene was filmed with him crawling along a floor.

IN the same scene his shoes are different when he is on the wall compared to when he is on the roof.

PETER runs out to catch a bus with a backpack over his shoulder. In the next scene it disappears. His hair is flat and sweaty after running, but when he\'s tripped by a fellow student, his hair is suddenly blow dried and perfect.

HE shoots his web, smashing a bedroom lamp. Seconds later the lamp is back on the dresser in one piece.

SPIDER-MAN throws two people through a window. Moments later the window is intact.

THE owner of a newspaper firm talks about how he thinks Spider-Man is a criminal. A woman to the right of him is holding an envelope which disappears and reappears again.

PETER is talking to Mary Jane outside a diner. The same man walks across the background three or four times. In the same scene, a black car also makes a few passes.

TOWARDS the end of the movie a cable car has Universal Pictures on its side. When you see the car the second time, it says Roosevelt Line.

IN a scene where Peter is chasing a robber, the robber is holding the gun in his left hand and carrying the money bag in his right. In the next shot you see him load a clip into the gun with the bag in his left hand and the gun in his right.

WHEN Peter is learning about his new improved eyesight, he takes off and puts on his glasses a few times. The screen turns fuzzy - but what you see through the glasses should be fuzzy, not the area around the glasses.

MARY Jane\'s knickers stick out above her trousers as she walks towards Peter, seconds later they disappear.

AT school, Peter dumps the food tray on Flash. His shirt is covered with food, but in the next scene Flash\'s shirt is clean.

IN one scene a tram filled with kids is in danger. The kids are yelling, but the adult behind them isn\'t yelling and looks bored.

IN every other version of Spider-Man - comics, cartoons, films, games - Spider-Man gets his web from web cartridges, not his wrists.

Also, if he could shoot web from his wrists, how is it that he can shoot through clothing without making a hole?

HARRY talks to Mary Jane on the phone. She hangs up on him and his mobile phone produces a dial tone. Mobiles do not have a dial tone.

DURING a fight between Peter and the man who kills Ben, the killer has a gun in his hand. After being knocked around he loses his gun and produces a switch knife from his pocket. But in the next shot he has the gun in his hand again.

A BALCONY at a youth festival collapses, and Harry Osborne is struck on the left side of his head by falling debris. In the scene following this, Harry has a bandage on the RIGHT side of his head.

JUST before the Green Goblin takes off his mask at the end, his visors are up, allowing his eyes to be seen. But after he dies, the visor is down.

MARY Jane is holding a martini glass in her hand as she talks to Harry. In the rest of the scene she is holding a champagne glass.

AUNT May suffers three small cuts on her face after a blast. Later, the cuts have changed position.

IN the school canteen Peter notices a fork stuck to his hand. His spider bite has vanished, but in the next scene it\'s back.

DURING the wrestling scene a cage is lowered around the ring for the match. The announcer instructs the assistants to lock the doors of the cage. There are no doors.

WHEN Peter and Mary Jane are talking outside the diner, her trenchcoat collar is first lying flat, then is tucked in, then is flat.

NORMAN Osborn (Willem Dafoe) prepares for the supersoldier experiment and is seen wearing a watch on his left hand. When he removes his shirt, the watch isn\'t there.

PETER Parker looks at Mary Jane and Harry Osborne on the balcony. All three people, especially Parker, appear with their hair parted on one side, then the other, and then back again.

MARY Jane is seen closing her jacket in the diner, but when she turns around it\'s open.

PETER leaves a house with Uncle Ben. When Ben gives him a ride to the Library, Peter has nothing in his hands. When he leaves the car, he\'s carrying a brown paper bag.

I can\'t verify these errors, as I haven\'t seen the film.

But maybe those of you have seen/ or are about to see it could keep your eyes open.

Well, those errors may have existed, but they were all minor enough that I didn\'t notice them.  The only thing I noticed was that his web didn\'t come from cartridges like in the comics, but that was something they contiously changed.  Other than that, it was very true to the comic books, right down to the way Green Goblin dies.

I\'ve seen the movie a few times and I can tell you that some of those are easily explainable.

But the post is so huge it\'d take me a while and effort to go through the ones  that can be legitified (is that a word?). Anyways, I got the time...but not the effort :)

Actually there were many other departures from the original comic book story, but it remained more faithful than just about any other movie based on a comic character.  Examples:

In the comic, it was Gwen Stacey, not Mary Jane Watson, who was captured by the Green Goblin, carried to a tower of the Washington bridge, and thrown off.  There was no conflict between "saving the girl or saving the cable car full of children."  Spiderman managed to catch Gwen before she hit bottom, but she died anyway.

In the comic, Harry Osbourne goes temporarily crazy after dropping acid, and Norman Obsbourne blames Parker/Spiderman for his son\'s situation.  I don\'t have all the details, but that wasn\'t in the movie.

Yeah, in the comics, Harry uses the procedure to become the 2nd Green Goblin. He made himself to powerful, and eventually dies from chemical poisoning, after saving Mary Jane and his son\'s life. I have that issue, should be worth something.

Eventually, Norman Osborn is revealed to be alive and well. When his gilder pierced his heart, his powers healed him. He decided to dissapear when Harry became Green Goblin, and came back, thinking Peter killed him. A whole bunch of Spidey events, including that whole clone saga, and how Peter lost his baby, are revealed to have been perpetrated by Norman. Osborn cannot be killed because of his healing factor, and he goes on a power trip, killing Ben Riley and trying to kill Peter. I have that issue as well.

In the Spider-Girl universe, Harry\'s son Norman the 2nd, becomes the 3rd and coolest looking Green Goblin.

Course, all this took place back in 97 or 98, so I don\'t know what the hell\'s been going on since then.

And those "mistakes" are just little nit-picking things that don\'t mean anything. Just watch the movie. It\'s great. :)

Well I finally saw that movie tonight.

I am a big spidey fan, but I never had a problem with him having organic webshooters in the movie, infact I\'ve always thought he should have organic ones because he\'s a kid and he can\'t just create artificial spiderweb, when the US army has spent years trying to create one.

And one thing that kinda bugged me, was he a tailor. He\'s must be when he can create a costume like that without help.

And I was kinda pissed at first that MJ was there instead of Gwen Stacy, but MJ is a much more known character than Gwen.

All in all, it was good a few things bugged me but I let them slip.
It would have been cool if Oscorps rival would have been Stark industries instead of Quest. And having Dr.Connors fire him was also cool.

ohh and one more thing, well since he developed all the spider stuff, and this time got organic webshooters...well shouldn\'t they be on his ass like on a spider?

:p
I recently discovered that my ass is the key to the universe.....now I must fight to protect my ass from those who might abuse it!!!
