Finally was able to play a gamecube
« on: May 04, 2002, 07:28:56 PM »
Well I came home this week with one of my friends and happen to finally play a gamecube. I never really payed much attention to it until now. One of the games I got a chance to play was 007. I found the game to be very fun, but after about an hour of play the game gets very frustrating.

Because the gamecube controller is so damn small. You have to use the two anolg buttons to look and move and with the controller being so small it makes it very awkward to turn and it just got on my nerves and made the game very unplayable.

Overall, I played 3 games SSB,007, and Bloody Roar. And I enjoyed all three games, but the controller problems plagued me on every single game and that sucked:( Maybe with an arcade stick or some different Mad Catz version of a gamecube controller I would have enjoyed the games more. I am definetly going to purchase as soon as I save more money to complete my collection of all 3 consoles.

So I think gamecube rocks, but it has controller issues.(for me anyway)

Did you know that you can buy an adaptor to use PS2 controllers with the GameCube? Cant remember where, I\'m sure someone will have a link. They cost $10 each, which isnt too bad.

GameCube has only just been released here. I\'ve had a go of it on display and it\'s not too shabby. I can\'t remember what was running on it though. It looked good, whatever it was.

No it like 007 AUF is out on the PS2 for months now

hey rick what do you make of the Controller

i think its alright , ifs your hand wih the minium of effort

although most of the time i forget about the Z trigger (the Blue one).

it must be the fact that its small and fits on a angle to the L and R buttons

Love the Analouge feature on the L and R buttons. thay make flying a A wing all that easyer.

--------------------------------
Anyhoo  i find it funny the Quddus 007 AUF on the Gamecube

007 AUF Pfffffttttt

Come on  the game is soo dire it hardly even desrves the 007 licence.

if you want some more GC action then play Pinking and Super monkey Ball.

The GC was released here last friday, and I was really surprised at how much stores are trying to make it a "hip" product. It\'s like the complete opposite of the XBox, which are now weeping in some dark corner with no attention paid to them whatsoever... I actually had to fight my way under two huge GameCube ad-sheets hanging from the ceiling to get to the well-hidden XBoxes.

I tried out :
Super Monkey Ball (seemed really... "interesting", best game I typed there)
Star Wars (It\'s based on the original trilogy so that alone makes it better than most SW games out now, did seem a bit repetitive though)
Luigi\'s Mansion (hated it)
Batman (awww god, hated it)
WaveRace (didn\'t look as good as I\'d expected, I still got WR64 so I won\'t be needing this)

And to finish the Nintendo\'y visit, I purchased SMW for the GBA, which I\'m loving to bits right now, wohoo! :D

Well I enjoyed it on multi-player. I have no use for it on single. Didn\'t even play it.  On multi-player it was enjoyable, but the controller made it very hard to really enjoy the game.

I quite like the controller ooseven, the only problem I really have with it is that you have to use the stick to play ISS, which annoys me a bit. I\'ll probably return ISS and get it for the PS2 when it comes out then. Also, how frickin hard is expert monkey ball???!!!!

SSB:M is just pure multiplayer fun. I never have controller issues, never really have. But get 4 people in SSB:M..... good luck trying to stop.

I have three Gamecube games now, SSBM, Super Soccer Slam, and Luigi\'s Mansion and I have enjoyed all three a lot.

Anyone else notice how fast the games load on Gamecube? Does anyone have Simpsons Road Rage for Gamecube? I am wondering if it loads fast because that was the main thing in my opinion that hurt the PS2 version.

I noticed that myself. The GC bootup is like three times quicker than the PS2. Almost as fast as N64!

May GC crush....the competition..... :D

Is that better now, Bobo? ;)
