don\'t you guys in the US have something like Auto Windscreens ?

they replace borken wind shield.screens if you are with the right insurence company.

Windshields are a no deductable replacement.  No biggie.  Just call the insurance company and get a new one.

Yep, it certainly does suck, but if I had to choose where to damage my car, it would definitely be a window.  No new paint, no bald guy with a toilet plunger trying to suck out a dent.  Could have been worse.

Dang man! You’re lucky! In Michigan you have to pay the deductible to get a new windshield. Of course, there are plenty of coupons in the yellow pages to save you a hundred dollars on your deductible so the cost to you is only $50-150 or so depending upon the deductible you have.

Speaking of....

I have a thin scratch from a dumbass using the windshield wipers without  rubber covers, so the blades scratched the glass... Anyone know how I can get this fixed? So far I\'m guessing you have to basically buff it out.

Yeah Insurance Companies normally cover it.  But with my dad\'s luckiness he got in two wrecks so his insurance would have killed him if he turned in the fact that his back window got broke by a golf ball when golfing at some nice course.  The shot was terrible, someone had to of hit it at the parking lot on purpose.

Even if its not covered, just buy a new one, or get some glass repairer out, usually they dont even need to place the whole shield.

Just an idea. And this time, ask for a stronger glass type. In alot of the new cars today, they use nothing but crap for the glass, often very thin.
