for the last couple of years i have been telling my friends to watch Sony\'s 1st and 2nd party teams become some of the leading developers on consoles

they still have a ways to go to catch Nintendo and Sega in that department, but they sure as hell can pump out graphics.. and innovation.  Keep em coming.

looks fantastic BTW, despite the fact that i am growing to hate Cell Shading.. :mad:

I played Dark Cloud for a while. The story didn\'t pick up and I got bored. Anyway, hopefully this one will peak my interest.

Yeah..... I was a little upset when I heard it went cell shaded. but it does still look good.

I\'m gonna miss staring at Ruby\'s polygons swaying as she ran...:D

DC did have a weak story, but collecting and building the town was what really moved me to play on. Also liked all the different weapons/upgrades, and the fishing was cool.

On it\'s own merit DC was above average IMO, and the sequel promises to be even better. I hope so:)

WOW!!!!! I can\'t belive that\'s a PS2. seems like the money I pay 2 years ago is starting to pay off:D.

I can\'t see a jag on those images. It\'s those are real game pics this guys at sony have solve one of the mayor problems of the PS2. SWEET!!!!!!:bounce:

the movies are just as impressive.. hard to belive thats a ps2 game. keep trying the movies, if you can\'t get them to work I will try to convert them to a mpeg or AVI format

I\'m amazed by the clean, colorful look of this game, but I hate the cell shaded look... way too many companies are starting to use it now...

None-the-less, Sony has become quite a developer on the PS2 :D

I personally like cell shading. Now, it has gone too far in certain cases though (like Sega trying to pass House of the Dead 3 in cell shading before going back to traditional more realistic look [some games are just not meant for cell shading]) and Robotech the game doesn\'t look good cell shaded (it has really thick black lines that were just annoying), however, games like Jak and Dexter, Ratchet and Crank, and this game all benifit from cell shading IMO. Looks nice without having the most polygons or critize for not being "realistic" enough.

I LOVED the first one, , might go buy it to finish the 100 level bonus dungeon, but seriously, it was unique and extremely fun.   If they touch up things like the repetitiveness, and bland story, this game will definately a top rated game.  Graphics look superb from what I\'ve seen, and these could easily be an AAA.  Cel-Shading can be ideal for graphics when used the right way.
