Star Wars Galaxies coming to PS2 and Xbox

LucasArts announces console versions of its highly anticipated Star Wars-themed online role-playing game.

This morning, LucasArts announced that its forthcoming massively multiplayer online role-playing game, Star Wars Galaxies, is headed not just to the PC, but also to the PlayStation 2 and Xbox consoles. Specific release dates for either of the console versions will be revealed "at a later date" according to the release, although the PC version\'s release date was reconfirmed to be December of this year. LucasArts also mentioned that the PC version would be called "Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided." The subtitle for the game had not previously been announced.
Star Wars Galaxies will be a game in which thousands of players may simultaneously assume roles in the classic Star Wars universe, creating their alternate personas from a variety of different races and choosing for themselves a wide variety of professions. The game will allow players to engage in combat, a wide variety of social activities, and more. Whether the various versions of Star Wars Galaxies will be compatible has not yet been confirmed. For additional information on Star Wars Galaxies, have a look at our complete coverage of the PC version. We\'ll have more on all three versions of Star Wars Galaxies soon.

Hmm... Star Wars, or Final Fantasy...

I think I\'d go with FF. :D

Good point...

More cash, me thinks.  Greedy bastards.
Verant has lost a ton of PC EQ customers lately, so they\'re trying to make up the cash I guess.
