Well, at least they got the GratefulDead up there in the right spot. Maybe couldda been a little higher.. after all.. they did found a counterculture reveloution which has lasted over 30 years and have played more songs/shows that just about any band in history. They\'re in the Guiness Book of world records even.

Pink Floyd should have been much higher. I think this list was based more on popularity than talent.. with a few historically important bands tossed in to make it seem legitimate. What a bunch of horse sh*t.

Oh, and LUKE... I dunno if Anthrax "Started" the Rock/Rap trend.. but they definately helped found it. There\'s another band out there that I think deserves just as much credit as Anthrax....

Suicidal Tendacies. (Woullda found a cool image.. but I couldn\'t get one in 5 mins or less so fuxor it.)

yes, you make a good point. while anthrax got more mainstream success from "im the man" and then re-doing "bring the noise" with public enemy, tendencies was was doing the exact same thing, just without mainstream success.

oh and here you go....

funny, I think of the beastie boys more as a group..not a band if that makes any sense. As for the Ramones, IMO, they have been rather influential.

Yeah, I have no arguements with the Ramones being where they are.  That might just be because I personally like them a lot though.

Definitely.  It\'s not rocket science.  Like them or not, they were - and still are the most influential group of all time.

How The Smashing Pumpkins dind\'t make that list is beyond me, and the fact that Korn DID make the list blows Spin Magazine\'s credibility right out of the water.

I can\'t believe you people are frustrated about the placement of Smashing Pumpkins and Korn and Tool.... ???

Give me a break

I can\'t fu**ing believe that The Allman Brothers Band and Crosby Stills Nash & Young are not on that list, yet frigging Outkast and Korn and Kraftwerk ARE on it.   Why would they put LYNYRD SKYNYRD and NOT the Allman Brothers????  Idiotic Spin magazine has their heads up their asses.

this is my take...while outkast certainly deserves recognition, they arent a "band"...korn shouldnt even be on the list period.. The rest of yer statement, I can agree on.
