Devil May Cry 2 : Screens and first impressions
« on: May 21, 2002, 05:40:53 AM »
here it is Bill gates may cry... err sorry Deivl May Cry 2 Screens and first impresions

enjoy

Today at its E3 2002 preshow press event, Capcom announced the first official details on Devil May Cry 2, the sequel to last year\'s popular occult-themed action adventure game. In Devil May Cry 2, players will once again reprise their role as the white-haired, coolheaded half-human/half-demon Dante. Alternately, players will be able to play as an entirely new but yet-to-be-named heroine with short hair and armed with throwing knives, among other weapons. Whether her course through the game will be different from Dante\'s was not revealed. However, Capcom did state that the game will be set in a number of outdoor environments, such as a dark cityscape reminiscent of Batman\'s Gotham City and a foreboding European town.
Dante is now older and more experienced since his last adventure and will be armed with his old arsenal as well as a number of new weapons. In addition, he\'ll have a number of new moves available, which players will apparently gain access to over the course of the game. Dante\'s "devil trigger" system has also been enhanced in the sequel--he will now be able to transform into an even more powerful demon in certain conditions and will have access to a number of deadly, new skills in this form.

The gameplay itself promises to be at least as action-packed as in the original game. One particular new feature Capcom pointed out was that the game\'s difficulty level will transparently adjust itself according to the player\'s skill level, much like in last year\'s hit shooter Max Payne.

Devil May Cry 2 is scheduled for release in the fourth quarter of this year. We\'ll have more information on the game as soon as possible.

Freaky, the pic where Dante looks down from the roof... that exactly the kinda screen I imagined to see after I heard the second one took place in a city.

Sequels to bestest games in the world are always welcome, I hope it plays as well as the original :)

Everybody *****ed about the control in DMC.  I had no problem with the camera angles, but some people hated the game because of it.  DMC is an awesome game, and I can\'t wait for the sequel!
