May 21, 2002 - Konami\'s Zone of the Enders was a game with problems, but most of them were problems that could easily be solved in a sequel, one with more time to build on the potential of its amazing graphics and control scheme. It\'s hard to make any bold pronouncements on that score based on the trailer for Z.O.E 2: The Second Runner, which we saw this evening at Konami\'s press presentation, but the arrival of a new director and game designer certainly indicates that changes are in the offing. What the original Z.O.E did right, meanwhile, the sequel does even better. The graphics engine includes some sharp new features, and the excitement of giant robot battle has never been so effectively conveyed.

Looks like a combination of cel-shading and 3D graphics (OK, maybe no "real" cel-shading but you know what I mean) and I like this style.

That is just what i thought!
I really enjoyed the first Z.O.E(not alot of people did), and the graphics where great, but these don\'t look as good, the graphics seem to have taken a new direction, and i am not sure if i like it, i will have to wait and see some more screens.
On the 15 of March 2002, i was going to leave these forums for good.
But on the 16 of March i realised i couldn\'t ever say bye to you guys, so i am staying here for good!

Well if they are going to use cell shading use it on robots it actually looks decent.

And I hope they make the levels alot bigger then what they were.

I want this game... I loved the first one\'s battle system.  Reminded me of those great Gundam battles.

There was one memorable aspect in Z.O.E; the boss fights. The game itself was borink az heck after a while. Seems like we\'ll get to kick some Anubis ass this time around... Too bad they don\'t have a Metal Gear Solid 3 demo to go with this one and boost the sales...

I hope they make a better fighting system, better surroundings, a better story, and make it longer.

Don\'t think... I\'d add more weapons and more enemies on screen. Anyway the game was great, only a bit short.

it looks good, although I can\'t decide if I like it better than part 1. I think I prefered the style of part 1 better as I\'m not really a fan of cell-shaded games yet. Although I must admit, cell shading suits this type of game much better...
