HELP!!! What to buy, what to buy...
« on: May 26, 2002, 03:20:13 AM »
OK, I am buying a car soon. I need help as to what you all recommend.

These are the cars I have narrowed it down too. Insurance costs are the same for each vehicle, and they are all around the same price. I just need to know which one I should buy.

1) 1996 Mitsubishi FTO

This is the one I want to buy the most. Its got 148 KW and 50000k/m. Its $19 000. I love the look of this car. Its extremly sexy, its small, and its not too powerful. Its a V6 24 valve non turbo, its only 1000KG, so its very quick. A lot of torque. Japan\'s car of the year twice in a row.

2) 1996 Nissan Skyline R33

Nice car. Didn\'t really want a turbo though. $22 000. Lotsa k/m though - 77000. Its a very powerful car, and extremly common in Australia, so parts are not a problem, and its a more reliable car than the FTO.

3) 1994 Toyota Soarer

Nice car. Its a turbo though. low k/m, $23 000. I really like the blue colour. Its pretty powerful though, and thats something I really didn\'t want as its gonna be an everyday car.

These are the top three. What do you all recommend?

Why any kid needs a 20,000 car is beyond me.  My first car came out of the junk yard.  It was awesome.  I had a beer poster for a headliner and pics of chicks taped to the walls.
I wear a necklace now because I like to know when I\'m upside down.

Thats $20 000 AUS, which is like $12 000 US.

The reason why I am not buying a junk car is because they cost too much money when the crappy thing breaks down. The idea is to spend alittle more money to get something decent that will last accouple of years.

Racer, what\'s wrong with the car you have now?  I thought you were in the process of modding it.

OK Racer, you are now not only anal retentive, but you are a freaking liar.  Why didn\'t you just say it was your parents car from the beginning?

"My car - 2001 Mitsubishi VRX LM Edition."

"This is mine, it is a 2001 Mitsubishi VRX"

"Well, I just got my Mitsubishi VRX modified, with a big new muffler."
