Are there any PS2 games deserving a 9 or higher for gameplay, particularly in the game reviews of this site?

WTF? Of course there are games out there with good gameplay. But just because someone says one is good doesn\'t mean someone else will say the same thing.

Whats it got to do with a 9??? You want some good games? GT3, VF4, GTA3, Jak and Dexter, FFX.

I am sure you will like one of those.

I dont care about good gameplay, Im wondering if there are any with extraordinary gameplay worthy of getting a 9 or higher rating.

TMB, ICO, FFX, GT3, GTA3, Onimusha, tons of games have great gameplay for PS2, IMO.  You have to judge them for yourself, of course. :D

well, thinking of extraordinary gameplay, I might aswell list my favorite games (which in my opinion, all have extraordinary gameplay):

1. Jak & Daxter
2. Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty
3. WipEout Fusion
4. Gran Turismo 3 A-Spec
5. Devil May Cry

Depends really what kind of games you like playing though... ;)

Ive been thinking of getting PS2 since the price drop, so Im curious as to what games people think have particularly extraordinary gameplay.

Pro Evolution Soccer stands out the most for me and worthy of every accolade you can give it.
Revolutionizes Football games in my opinion. Not 1 football game on any format anywhere is better.
I played a demo of TIF earlier for the first time.
Oh My God I nearly actually laughed at it.

GTA3 and MGS2 are other games that spring to mind and made me step back and think how great this is.

If you havnt gotton a Ps2 yet, then there are alot of great games that are probably new to you. The GREATEST HITS line is pretty good. The games are 20 bucks.  Gran Turismo 3. Onimusha. Twisted Metal Black. Red Faction. Midnight Club. Im most likely forgetting some but all of the above are great games. IMO. I HIGHLY SUGGEST GT3, TMB, and ONIMUSHA, And Red Faction.All are great games for only 20 $. But if you only get one game when you get your Ps2 get Grand Theft Auto 3. EVERYONE likes that game.(well almost):)

I mean, \'extraordinary gameplay\'? Please... Like others have said, there are plenty of games out there with great gameplay, but it all depends on the type of game you like

GT3 for instance has amazing gameplay, I mean, trully amazing gameplay, but not everyone is gonna think that because not everyone likes racing games...

:) GAMERQ i would tell you that ive played alot of systems and owned alot of them too ...((here is my oppion)) yes i would absolutly  buy a ps 2 it dillivers a lot of fun in games, dvd\'s and cd\'s and now you will surf the web... coming soon ...and for the price you cannot beat it ...there are more playstaytion games and playstaytion II games on the market  than any other system listen to me i sound like i work for sony ....but i love my playstation II :thepimp:
