Reds win!

Well, Junior is back and Aaron Boone is coming out of his slump (he blasted two long ones tonight against Florida,) and we\'ve got some legit future all-stars in Adam Dunn, Austin Kearns and Corky Miller.  Not to mention that we\'ve got the best closer in the game in Danny Graves.

Now, I think we need to trade for a pitcher.  The talk is that Reds GM Jim Bowden wants Cleveland right-hander Bartolo Colon, but methinks we need a lefty in the rotation.

Yeah, thats right.  The Reds amazingly are the real deal.  If Griffey starts batting good again and everybody else keeps it up they might actually go somewhere.

I swear to god the Cubs are gonna win that division.

they better, although at this point..the future looks questionable. Sad part is, not like the talent isnt there. Least the southsiders are doing pretty well.

I think they\'re the real deal.  The only thing that will keep them from taking the division is themselves.  St. Louis has a pretty good team and a really good pitching staff, and I think it\'ll be awfully interesting come August.

Sure they will.  Well I guess anything is possible considering the Reds manage to win games.

people dont realize just how good the Cubs farm system got about 5 years ago, in the next 2 years, everyone will see.




Corey Patterson - CF - Age 22- so far this year hitting .300, leading-off and is on pace to steal about 40 bases.


Bobby Hill - 2B- Age 24 - Future leadoff guy. Just called up a few weeks ago but has been great from the start. at one point he got on base 8 straight times.


Mark Prior -P- age 21 - I told you guys about him a few months ago. If your a baseball fan you probably already know he has had 2 starts, and both have been great. 10 k\'s in his first game. allowing 3 runs in 6. And only allowing 1 run in his second start in 6 innings on sunday.

Kerry Wood - P- age 24- I dont really have to say anything about Kerry.

Hee-Sop Choi - 1B-  Age 23  - Rumors are if Mcgriff doesnt start hitting soon, Hee-Sop will be called up. If you are a Cubs fan you\'ve probably been hearing about this guy for awhile now. Huge (6\'5 240lbs) left-handed power hitter, and a good glove at first. He was actually supposed to start this year at first, but a hand injury slowed him.

The Cubs?  Chicago\'s Useless Baseball Squad?  How they manage to draw fans is beyond me.  Sammy Sosa could be a great player on a great team - a team that\'s actually going somewhere, so why doesn\'t he demand a trade?  The manager sucks and the ownership is not committed to winning.  Plus, for all its history, Wrigley Field is a cesspool.  I\'ve been there a couple of times and wasn\'t impressed.  In fact, I was depressed even though the Reds won.  The Cubs desparately need a modern ballpark.

Wrigly Feild is the most beatiful park in all of baseball. Right smack dab in one of the nicest neiborhoods in chicago. How can you call it a cesspool? its clean, small, and charming. its a peice of baseball history.


and sammy isnt requesting a trade because he, like I, know what the Cubs will be in 2 or 3 years, a world series contender.

they need a ballpark to make you or other out of towners happy? Funny how I only mainly hear out of towners say that about wrigley. There is ALOT of history at Wrigley and alot of people arent willing to give that up. The are around wrigley is phenomenal, no way they would be able to tear it down ansd still fit a modern ball park where it is. No one is willing to give that up either.

Sosa demand a trade?? He just resigned a new contract, he is a loyal player, something you dont see much in sports anymore.

I wont give up on wrigely untill Im forced to. Just like all of the other loyal fans. Worst starting record a few years ago..the seats were STILL sold out

What did griffey bat? 0-5? My friend who is a die-hard Mariners fan and despises Ken Griff kept IMing about how bad Griffey was batting.

Although my main set now is on b-ball, I like the Indians alot. And luckily the AL Central is weak as hell the Indians even with their mediocre performances the last month are only 4 games back!
