This doesn\'t have anything to do with animated gifs or what browser version you\'re using. It happens because Luckee\'s avatar is over 270k in size, and slow dialup connections choke on it. I sent him a smaller optimized version of the same animation a while back but he didn\'t change it. Maybe he doesn\'t have access to the webserver where the pic is hosted. I dunno.

maybe it\'s the fact that this is a 268kb .gif file when the max size for avatars around here is 100kb IIRC.

Get a faster computer, or better yet build one yourself. I\'m running a couple of homebuilt boxes (I\'m in the process of upgrading the other one at the moment.)

The only OEM system I\'d consider buying is an Apple.

Certain browsers will handle .gifs differently. There\'s like a .gif with a 0 delay in its animation time and it makes the animation really fast. luckee\'s used to do that on mine.
