For the Wrestling fans...WWE Smackdown!Shut Your Mouth trailer and movies!

Ok this game looks great. THe best one I have seen in 3 years. All the past smackdowns have sucked. THis game looks great.

I am really looking forward to this now. I bought JBI, but just couldnt bring myself to keep it, yeah it was entertaining with mates, except commentary and other glitches, but everything else totally sucked. This looks a lot more impressive, I just hope they dont mess it up. I cant do with it being over hyped like the last one was, I had such high expectations for that. Fingers are crossed.

Yeah, I was speaking of Playstation wrestling games. Attitude was the game that converted me into a wrestling fan. I still remember how me, my brother, and my best friend would stay up all night and day, building created wrestlers and Pay-Per-Views. Good times.

The original Smackdown! introduced us to the Story mode. It was the best to date; unfortunately, it was a little short. And the created wrestlers were a little too limited. But it had a great move system, doing out with the complex button combinations of Attitude.

Smackdown!2 was good, but had way too many flaws to beat its older cousins. The story mode was great, especially the way you could hunt after any title of your choosing. Plus, you could edit the rosters. So if you didn\'t want Taker going after the World Championship, then put him under Hardcore or something. The created wrestlers were still too limited, although not as much as SD1. The biggest flaw were the long load times and the way matches were "simulated". What happened to the instant win/lose thing in SD1?

SD-JBI was by far the worst SD game. Created wrestler system was near perfect. But the game could crash when playing with creations. WTF? And the story mode was ruined. Lip sync sucked, commentary sucked. And you couldn\'t defend your titles. Why?

I have high hopes for SD 4. The graphics are already looking to be the best yet. C\'mon THQ/Yukes, don\'t blow it!

So is this the newest and best game available? The clips do look really good. I had WWF Raw (Xbox) and they took out more than they left in. I hope that doesn\'t happen here.

Will this be any better than WX8?

I\'m not so sure which of these should I get and I don\'t want to get 2 wrestling games.

Ive seen 22 vids of SD4 and about 10 from WMX8 and from what Ive seen Id say SD4 kills it, there both made by the same company so basically WMX8 is a prototype for SD4, anything thats not fixed in WMX8 will be fixed in SD4, also the gfx and chracters models are much better in SD4

well according to gamespot the game is scheduled to be released by the end of this year.

Apparently THQ are hinting at a March/April 2003 release to be able to make this game perfect and to be able to keep up with the current storylines like Shawn Michaels joining the NWO

Damn, that\'ll be a while. When will they be able to get the liscense for Booker T\'s music? They should make everything exact with that much time.

They should have Booker T\'s Music as it\'s not copyrighted by any bands cause Jim Johnston who creates the WWE Themes has done it.
And as the WWE has rights to all the themes by bands like Union Underground, Saliva, Motorhead, Marilyn Manson,etc then like with Limp Bizkit, Disturbed and Motorhead on Just Bring It, they will give THQ the rights to use the themes...

Plus if ex-Alliance wrestlers like DDP(now retired), RVD, Lance Storm, Hulk Hogan, NWO are on then I\'m sure all the themes and move lists etc, will be on as well...
There is also rumors that Create-a-stable will be improved as people asked about the NWO and THQ have said that they may, if they have time, do an NWO stable where your created wrestler or any out of the roster will automaically wear the NWO colours, but it\'s not official...

I can\'t wait for this game to come out whenever that is...

Ugh, that\'s so pathetic.  To take steps backward in the gameplay department for a few worthless polygons.  Just throw a couple textures in there and get out, there\'s no need to take three people out of the ring, they should be trying to fit more in.

Wrestling game developers are so lazy, the games look like they\'re getting worse over time.
