That golden goal rule is a load of crap.
Don't waste your words I don't need anything from you. I don't care where you've  been or what you plan to do. I am the resurrection and I am the light. I  couldn't ever bring myself to hate you as I'd like.

i agree, id rathr have 30 mins of extra time, and if someones score the other team has got to score again....etc etc

cant believe ireland missed 3 penalties at the end.... and more unbelievable spain missed some when all they need to do was score to go through

Absolutely. History is littered with matches that went to extra time, and in the majority of them where one team went a goal down, the rest of the game just came alive as the team behind threw everything forward.

I think it had something to do with TV schedules, as to why it was brought in.

IF Mexico beats the US, then somehow gets by Germany too, they\'ll get killed by either Spain or Italy.  Hate to break it to ya.

IM SO SORRY TO BREAK IT TO YOU

SPAIN ISNT UNBEATABLE and besides i dont think spain or italy is going to make it past Korea or england(or was england already eliminated, i dont think so, didnt they beat ireland), and im sure Senegal is going to whup one of those two.

So in the End Mexico will be the new campeon.

England is in the other half of the bracket.  The winner of Italy/Korea plays Spain, and then the winner plays the winner of Germany and USA/Mexico.  Senegal is in the other part of the bracket too.

There is no team that is unbeatable.  However, Spain and Italy are both better teams that Mexico, in my opinion.  Germany is pretty damn good too.

Let\'s not get ahead of ourselves though.  The USA should be one hell of a challenge for them.  Let\'s not forget the US has won five of six against Mexico.

Ok the US might of gotten lucky before :) but i think, hopefully, Mexico will come through tonight. Germany is good, really good, but being a Mexico fan and all i still think mexico will beat germany, hopefully. And about Spain and Italy, theyre going to have to eliminate themselves, so if mexico does make it past germany....i correct that......when mexico GETS past germany, they would only have to worry about one good european team. hopefully ITALY since they player already before.

They will not proceed much further. As soon as thet draw one of the top 3 (Brazil, England or Italy), they\'ll go down like a sack of lead bricks in a knackered lift.

Makeshift lineup. 6 or 7 shots on goal. 5 yellow cards. Even so, the United States is going to the Round of 8, yes, the United States has done something in Futbol...RAHHHHH!

Watching the entire thing, left arm went numb cheering and not waking up my dad at the same time, this game ruled. So, we got away with the hands in the box, **** happens :)

USA all the god damn way! See Yuz.
What do Kerry Wood, Mark Prior, Matt Clement, and Carlos Zambrano have in common?

They\'re the pieces to the next great pitching rotation of our time, what else?

GO CUBS!

Hell, they won\'t play any of them until the semi finals.  If the US makes it that far, they will have already had their best World Cup ever.  Remember, we\'re a team that finished in dead last in the last World Cup.

True, even if the US should loose the next match they have come very far. I think it was in 1930 the last time the US was in the semi finals (although not quite there yet). :)

man that make me laugh, you say it about every team that wins.

germany are good, but by there own high standards they are weak

england has got brazil........im not to worried, you have to beat great teams to win it.. they are amazing going forward. but look sloppy at the back, hopefully we can exploit this and win.

favourite are brazil, joined second are spain and england
