2002 World Cup!!!
« Reply #210 on: June 21, 2002, 03:28:16 AM »
Hey Shock, thanks for tellin\' me that :P

I was up at 5:56 exactly, so my sleep plan worked. Was anybody else up at the crack of 6?

See Yuz.
What do Kerry Wood, Mark Prior, Matt Clement, and Carlos Zambrano have in common?

They\'re the pieces to the next great pitching rotation of our time, what else?

GO CUBS!

Well, I\'m gutted..... No actually, devastated...... Sod it, words can\'t describe what I\'m feeling right now.

I originally said that the eventual winners of the championship would come from the England-Brazil match, and I stick by that comment. I think Brazil WILL now go onto win it, I hope they won\'t, but I\'m sure they will.

Why do I not want them to win it? one reason, and one reason alone....... Rivaldo.

He is a dirty lowlife of a cheat, a right sh1t in every sense of the word, trying to feign serious injury again after getting lightly brushed across the face by one of the England players hands.

Plus, that referee is second only to the Lewis-Tyson ref in the gobsh1te stakes, sending Ronaldinho off for an ill judged offence.

And on a side note, he\'s got a right pair of teeth on him that Ronaldinho chappie, he looks like he could eat an apple through a letterbox.... He puts Ronaldo into the shade a bit.

From now on, I\'m going to throw all my eggs into the South Korea basket.

But at the end of the day, do you know what the worst thing is?

I went out last night and got rat arsed (rather drunk), and so now can\'t afford to drown my sorrows.

:( :( :(
Don't waste your words I don't need anything from you. I don't care where you've  been or what you plan to do. I am the resurrection and I am the light. I  couldn't ever bring myself to hate you as I'd like.

1-0 Germany so far. The "Little Kaiser" scores on a restart, even though the US has basically dominated all the scoring chances in the 1st half. Kahn has stopped 3 golden opportunities for the US.

****, Germany just had a header hit the post! ARG. C\'mon USA!

Lol, the US got cheated from a penalty kick - a German player stopped the ball from going in, with his hand. :p

And let me say... WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, England is down! Apparently on a mistake by the keeper eh? Glad to see we\'re not alone. ;) But actually I\'d rather have seen England than Brazil go on. :(

1. Refs don\'t decide games, players do :o
2. Calling players lowlifes when they win...yeah, not cool :o

Damn, that was a heartbreaker.  So damn close...a hell of a lot closer than the US was supposed to be.  Oh well...next four years...

God, I thought Sonneh put that one away in the 89th minute...jumped up and clapped, but it hit the side of the net, arg.

Berhalter got screwed, that ballw as in the damn net, Kahn got beat, and the defenseman IN the goal hits it out with his hand.

The United States outplyaed World Power Germany. Germany wins.

It was close, but US just ****ed up a lot.  They had plenty of shots but none of them worked.  Though I think there will be controversy over the hand ball.  Ah anyway I\'ll sit here and watch until the finals are done and yet another 4 years.:snore:

I thought we outplayed the Germans overall.  Just couldn\'t put one in.  Had tons of chances.  Kinda the opposite of the Mexico game.  Oh well.

Go Senegal!
