Those with outdated PCs will be able to play it on a console that doesn\'t require any upgrades, and those with high-end rigs that cost a couple grand will be able to enjoy the benefits that the PC version supplies (better graphics, extra features, etc. or whatever). It\'s a win/win situation.
And the Xbox is not a "wanna be PC gaming console." It\'s just a gaming console. Sheesh...
Ok, but it\'s like this:
You got a PC. It\'s either up to date or outdated. If you have a good desktop that is 2-3 years old, you should be able to play most of the games out there. If ur PC is outdated, man you can get a good one for like a grand and maybe some more cash for updating for the higher end PC games. Or just upgrade your PC. A PC is a necessity and they wear out just like consoles do. But a console is not a necessity in the larger view. So when you buying a console, it shouldnt be for PC games. Back in the day, PC werent too standarnized so PC games for consoles made more sense but today thanks to wholesale distributors, PC game developers have some general specs to go buy if they want to hit the majority of the market.
I mean PCs really rule games and online play. I bought a PS2 cause there is a large number of games and genres that I want on it like FFX, fighting games, GTA3, Dynasty Warriors 3 and so on. You know, great console exclusive games/genres which Xbox seriously lacks. Halo is just a simple FPS, Morrowind and few other future Xbox releases are on PC.
So far I have seen a very small number of PC games translated as good on a console. And I am talking about PC games that are meant to be PC games like RTS games and deep involved RPG/Adventure like Ultima, King\'s Quest (you the type).
As for Xbox being a wanna be PC gaming console, well I saw this new thing they are selling. It\'s like an imitation keyboard and mouse for Halo Online so that you play it like you play PC FPS games. Seriously, come on thats just hysterical. Why dont they just design a computer made just for PC gaming. Oh wait they did smth of the sort— it\'s called CrapBox.
