Nets in the finals!
« on: May 31, 2002, 05:56:01 PM »
And New Jersey rejoices.  How about that turn around?  26 wins to NBA finals in one year, making only one major change in your team.  I\'m glad they made it too, because they are the team I see as being able to put up more of a fight against the West.

And if people didn\'t think Kidd should have been MVP before...

Booo. Celtic Pride all the way, we\'ll get em next year, if Walker grows some balls
I bet when the neanderthal kids would make a snowman, someone would always end up saying, \"Don\'t forget the thick, heavy brows.\" Then they would all get embarrassed because they remembered they had the big hunky brows too, and they\'d get mad and eat the snowman.

Why does everyone count the nets out of winning the finals, they got a great shot at it, if they play the Kings.

This is gonna be a better final than last year, cuz the star player in the east kidd, actually has some offensive talent behind him, the Nets are gonna win it.

If the Lakers go to the Finals, who on the Nets is going to guard Shaq?

Keyword...IF.  IF the Lakers make it to the finals they will win it all.  IF the Kings make it to the finals it will be a much better series.  The Kings and Nets matchup a lot better IMO.  Bibby and Kidd, Webber and Martin, Van Horn and Peja.  Should be good.  Now if the refs can do their job a little more than half ass...

If the Lakers make it there, they will win.  If the Kings make it there, they will win.  The Nets don\'t have a chance against either team.  The west just plays better basketball.  I must admit though, the Nets do match up better against the Kings.  Kidd on Bibby...Martin on Webber...it\'s a decent fit.  Against the Lakers, they don\'t match up well.  Then again, this is probably just the difference between losing in 4 or 5 vs losing in 5 or 6.  The West is just better.  In fact, the top 4 teams in the West are easily better than anyone in the East.

I don\'t know why I live in NJ, but of the two teams i want them to win just cause it\'d be nice since they\'ve NEVER been in an NBA championship before, much less the playoffs.

Boston has a good team for the next few years, and that\'s not the least I\'ll say about the winningest team in bball.
