Hating the Lakers has absolutely nothing to do with the underdog status, at least for me. 1st year they won it, I didn\'t like Kobe, didn\'t like Shaq, and I wanted Portland to get in. They didn\'t. I also wanted to see the Pacers win it, they didn\'t.

Last year was no real contest for the Lakers, and that sucked even more. I ended up rooting for them in the finals simply because they had Tyron Lue and I absolutely hate Allen Iverson anyway, so there you go.

I stil can\'t stand Kobe, I still can\'t stand Shaq, I still can\'t stand with what they get away with, it sickens me. Hell, out here, I talk to casual Lakers fans, and even they agree that what they\'ve gotten away with during that last series with Sacramento was total bull****...pretty amazing coming from them, they are very stubborn people...

Anyway, I will never like the Lakers. I will always hate Kobe...I have a soft spot for Shaq, being that he\'s the one doing ALL of the work down low for the Lakers, and Kobe, taking 26 jumpers a game and making 10 of them, gets just as much, if not more credit than Shaq. Kobe\'s a whiner, a ballhog, and quite frankly, not as much of a team player that everybody makes him out to be. Same goes with Paul Pierce, he\'s one of the main reasons why the Nets are in the finals with the Lakers, and the Celtics aren\'t.

Um...Kansas sucks...but anyway, I don\'t like the Lakers because a.) They beat the Pacers 2 years ago, and b.) They are way too cocky.  If Peja would\'ve been 100% or even 90% the Kings take the series.  I guess you gotta play the hand you\'re dealt though.

Kansas is awesome. I agree with the rest of your post though...except the Pacer part. I hate them too. Next year, all the the Kings have a healthy roster they\'ll win the title.

And I\'ve been telling people that Walker is better than Pierce.  That\'s why I was saying that.

Personally, to be honest, I like Shaq.  He\'s funny, and he has fun playing the game.  That\'s what players should be like.  He does get away with too much at times, but he is also a target at other times.  From hack a Shaq, to people attacking his playing style, to people like Vlade flopping if he touches them.  Shaq\'s cool.  I just hate the rest of the team.

Liked Kansas only this year? Shows are much of an idiot you are. I\'ve liked Kansas since I started to care about bball. That was sometime around 1997. When they lost once during the regular season, lost to U of A in the tournament. They had Jacque (sp?) Vaughn, Paul Pierce, Scot Pollard, and LaFrentz in their starting rotation. Don\'t assume things you don\'t know by saying I just started liking Kansas. Oh yeah, it kinda easy to start liking a team at a young age when you have parents from Kansas who cheer for them too.

Oh how funny it is of how little you know. I\'ve liked the Lakers since I knew what the NBA was. I was a fan during the Van Exel, Jones and Campbell era so you don\'t know what your talking about. I know I can\'t back this up, but I can scan a picture of me at the age of 10 wearing a Van Exel jersey and Lakers shorts.
