but like I said it woul dbe a heluva achievement for Volition to double the graphic capability of the engine as well as double the framerate to boot

That essentially means they quadrupled the power of their engine, and that is a heluva an achievement

and yes the PS2 is more then capable of running a game like this at 60FPS but its the nature of the hardware that is restricting quite a few of the developers from achieving such success

Wow, this is a good time to take your rage out of games. Theres nothing better than shooting someone right in the balls and never get hurt back.

Better graphics, improved geo-mod engine (not as limited), KB & Moose support, dang.

on the other hand the Eye punishing HALO droped frame rate when ever something exciting happend. like more than 2 Aliens firing at once

Thats crap. Halo was a locked 30 as well, and only dropped when there were several vehicles onscreen at once which hardly, if at all, ever  happenes durring normal gameplay. That game never drops just with enemies on screen. Its great.

there are 2 high quality movies at IGN but I think they are insider only

but trust me the game is looking real good

I have to say though to me it looks like 30fps though, but its hard to tell with a web movie

heh, I dont even think about judging number of fps by viewing a video on my computer, Ill have to wait and see it running on a television.

well I agree, but there was some questions about it and IMO it doesn\'t look like it is running above 30fps

but thats just my opinion on what I thought I saw

Red Factions framerate dropped WAY more than Halo ever did

although they were both pretty steady, for the most part.

I thought Red Faction was pretty smooth 30fps myself. I honestly don\'t recall many drops in the framerate

it was great in one room where there was this mounted rocket launcher and all of a sudden these guards started running at you, must have been more than 20 and youre firing off rockets blowing holes in walls all these guys shooting at you, and with no framerate loss

but that was my point, neither really have framerate problems, but RF\'s was worse

YEAY! The first game was dope. When i first played and the miner and the gaurd started a brawl i couldnt stop thinking that i was in the game and beating the crap outta my opressors. Ah i hope parkers back. I cant wait.

well i really have no choice since i only got 3 games cuz i barely bought my ps2 and red faction is the one i play the most, and yes i know its sad but i still havent bought a memory card, those things are so xpensive and i blew all my money gettin the PS2 but by wednesday ima get one, i hope so i can finally play the game and know i can save it.
