Another service of PSX2Central...

I know that this thread should be in suggestion forum but I want it to be seen by many people (there wouldn\'t be). All you know the problems members have to put files (mp3, pics above all, texts...) in the forums when the file hasn\'t got a direct link. Current free servers are a true rubbish and many times we can\'t put the pictures or the files we want to share here.

By reason of this, I thought that PSX2Central Forums should have another service for its big fellowship: a small free server space in order to facilitate these kinda threads in the forums. OK, I don\'t know how big is this server, I don\'t know if it is possible... but I had to post this.

Perhaps 1 MB will be enough to supply the lack of space. Of course, 1MB per every member would be a bestiality of space. But let\'s think in 1MB per every member with more than 1500 posts (number=example). This way, only the major posters, or those who post regularly would be able to have that space.

Is this a good idea? It is a nonsense? I would like you members reply to this, and if possible, admins and mods too.

PD: For example, I would be able to put more threads with new pics of games that cannot be directly linked in the net.

while a good idea I belive Björn already has server troubles, using a free server and such at the moment.

It would also be pretty hard to use and difficult to keep track of stuff, people could abuse the free space be linking outside psx2c

we can host user pics, but thats about it

you can always get an FTP program like Serv-u and host files for internet use yerself on yer own system, ya know

Just get a free host man. It\'s really not that hard - just look beyond the usual newbie stuff like Geocities and those crap servers.

Use a search engine or \'free webservers\' index.
