Console Debating is going to be gone in about a week from the date this is posted. The forum will be renamed and will encourage the discussion of ALL consoles rather then the dispute if they are better or worse then the Playstation 2. What this means is that those of you who are sick of the XBox being bashed constantly, or the Cube, or the PS2, worry not... the forum will encourage multiple console discussion while still maintaining the good debate sense that we have had here.
There will also be a new forum where this type of bashing we are sick of will be allowed. I\'m sure this will be the more popular of the two, but it will be helpful to allow people who need to get out anger (or whatever) and take it out on the consoles (?). Man, that sounds so stupid, but meh, people will do it.
A warning to all:
The bashing of individuals will no longer be tolerated in the multi consolele discussion board as a substantial part of your debate. Even I will lay off of Rastalant and allow him free reign to post his XBox news. I will also step in and start posting plenty of game and GCN information as well. The Zero Tolerance policy will ALWAYS be in affect when the new forum is completed. You will not lose your posts when CD gets put away. We\'ll either archive or completely get rid of it, whatever.
If you have a new thread that sounds interesting, you might want to hold onto it since good threads in here span over several days. Also, I encourage you all to make brand new threads and save them on your computer so that way we can populate the new forum with good intelligent threads from the start. I myself have already thought of two ideas to get the forum up and running. Please contribute as soon as you can when the changes take place. This is always the hardest part when it comes to the recreation of some boards.
Why are we doing this?
We need a change. The way things are in here is fairly dispicable and quite frankly it\'s sad. We should be having some great debates, but since certain issues have fizzled and the console war is pretty much over, there\'s no point to any of us debating the consoles any longer. However, making this forum into a multi console one where we are free to discuss all platforms as well as a seperate console war forum, could make this a better place for all. In other words, people who just drop in and add nothing to debates or to the discussions of other games will be treated as trolls and dealt with as such and placed into the console war board rather then the console discussion board.
Your thoughts on the rules of the new boards below would be appreciated. If people don\'t contribute realistically and fool around, i\'ll just close the thread and leave it a sticky. This board will be your guys\' board essentially so you might want to say what you want going on and what you don\'t want. Your help to shape the new board will be greatly appreciated and the rules set will be applied to the new board. I hope this satisfies everyone, second starts are always refreshing.
