cool idea, but it kinda takes away the "portability" of the GBA

the portablemonopoly afterburner is more practical

Yes, but if they take away the current craptacular display they could replace it with a LCD.. Much better quality :)

Backlit screens eat up battery life.   If it didn\'t, then Nintendo would put one in by now.  Why do you think the Genesis Nomad didn\'t survive?  I own two of them and they eat up 6 brand new Energizers in less than two hours.  In contrast, I\'m still using the factory batteries for my GBA.  The screen sucks but 40 hours with two AA\'s is worth it.
When all is said and done...the PS2 will be remembered as the console with the best games in Fall 2001.

Ever Hear of Lithium Ion batteries?
Why not use them and have a backlit system?

Simple, it would cost nintendo too much money, they might have to actually lose a couple dollars from each system.. ohh dear :laughing:
