Looks awesome this must come to xbox!!!!!!  I like the way the new characters looks this is sweet, but i  wonder what board this is running off?  Hopefully xbox hardware.

Well actually, its VF4 from the arcades with two new characters.  There\'s a BIG difference!  BTW, Sega confirmed this game for the Xbox.

Hmm. Mixed feeling. I am rather dissapointed that Sega pulled this trick, the ole\' lets add a few new characters and give it a new name and call it a new game, trick. At the same time, I friggin\' love VF4 and can\'t wait for update to the game.

VF4 runs on System 246 I believe. Care to explain the "BIG" difference?

TOKYO - At a private show held today, Sega-AM2 unveiled Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution, the latest arcade installment in its popular fighting game series. Two new characters, a kickboxer named Brad Burns and a judo expert named Hinogami Goh join the roster, making for a total of 15 playable characters in the game. Characters from the previous games in the series will have newly revamped motion-captured animation, enhanced fighting stances, and new attacks. More items have been added, and players can now change the hair or eye color of the fighters, making character customization more diverse and unique. Older stages will also have new effects such as rain and gusty winds.

Additional modes have been added for Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution. The "mission mode" is a single-player mode where players will be required to accomplish certain tasks such as hitting the opponent 20 times or blocking attacks 10 times. The "quest mode" makes use of the VF.net service, which provides players with special missions such as defeating a skilled player at an event. Upon completing either of the modes, players will earn items or money in the game. There will also be certain occasions when a regular versus battle will be interrupted by a "scramble battle," where players will fight to win an item or money.

Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution is being developed on the Naomi 2 hardware, and it is scheduled to hit arcades sometime this summer in Japan.

DirectXbox, where exactly did it say Sega confirmed this title for anything other than an arcade release? No offense, but I believe a professional site such as Gamespot a lot more than I do a biased Xbox site that hopes Sega will confirm it for the Xbox.

The arcade version sounds a lot like the home port of VF4 - with gaining items and what not. Either way, it could be an interesting home port to whatever system it does come around to. Just hope they take alittle more time with it and get rid of some of the jaggy issues that the original VF4 did have.

Yes, it\'s a pretty ugly game on PS2 relatively speaking.  They should have spent more time.

While, Sega hasn\'t comfirmed it,  I\'d be very surprised if it didn\'t go to the xbox.  There just isn\'t the money in arcades anymore.

I\'m positive it will end up on one of the home consoles (at LEAST one). The question however is, which console will it be? I wouldn\'t be surprised if it didn\'t go to the PS2, due to the low amount of Xbox units sold. If it did go to the Xbox, it would help it a lot in Japan, as the VF series has a huge following in Japan.

see thats the thing.. my version has no jaggies at all..  Did they give the Euro (Aust) release AA or what??

On my HDTV it looks pretty jaggy--I don\'t care because it\'s VF, but it\'s pretty obvious.  Like one guy said that was reviewing it--stop looking at it and play.  But you say you don\'t see jaggies?!?  I don\'t know what to say.

I doubt it\'ll go in the PS2 with so little changed.  It\'s got xbox/GC written all over it.

But, are any of us going to care when SC comes out?  I already have VF4, I care not about VF:E.

What\'s up with the 2 new characters?  They need to put down the mascara pencil.
