Thought it was bad for the ps2,
Lets add this to the xbox

“Sega and Cool Net Entertainment will be converting an as-yet unspecified range of older games to Xbox, with the first titles set to be released in Japan this summer. The games, of varying vintage, will include Mega Drive and Saturn hits, as well as the more obvious Dreamcast ports.”

I’m.... not done yet.

"Sega displayed a graphic highlighting the four architectures that it will be supporting. Included in the list were the Dreamcast-based Naomi family (this includes Naomi 2), the GameCube based Triforce hardware, the Xbox-based, tentatively titled Chiriro hardware, and the so-called System X. This latter hardware was announced a couple of weeks back as being developed in cooperation with Sammy, publisher of the Guilty Gear series.
One area that surprises us is the lack of support for the PS2-friendly System 246 hardware. Sega, Namco and Sony Computer Entertainment announced long ago that they were working on something along that lines, again as part of Sega\'s arcade networking plans. They companies even showed what looked like prototype hardware. We haven\'t a clue what became of that."

So, lots of arcade games the ps2 won’t see..

Can it be any worse? Yes it can

While sega plans to support the ps2 online with its sports titles, other then that the ps2 has no other only sega games, while even the GCN has at least one other non sports title.

Certainly looks like the ps2 is their primary platform… :rolleyes:

Why does Sega ignore the ps2?
I guess ps2 owners only have Shinobi to look forward too.. there is nothing else. VF4 is already out, and expected to be released on the xbox soon anyway..
Good thing every other company is doing the opposite... (edit: oops, except tecmo)

SEGA=Overrated.. ---> IMO

I own... uh? what’s that? ZERO SEGA titles.. :eek:

The only SEGA game Im interested in is Sega Rally 3.

I bet Sega got a boatload of cash from MS.  I\'m pretty sure it was a good decision.

I never noticed how most of Sega\'s top quality titles are going to Xbox only/first.  I like this move considering that they\'ll probably be in their top form...

and the System 246 is PS2 friendly...but that\'s it.  It would take more effort to put it on the other two consoles.  I know PS2 outsells Xbox and GC combined but remember that software sells systems...

Does anyone know if Sega was satisfied with thier VF4 port to PS2?  I remember way back when they were saying it will be arcade perfect and such...obviously it did not.  This was also from AM2, one of the more talented and highly skilled developers from Sega.

I\'ll have all three consoles this generation, so I\'m not really concerned about all this. If you want a Sega fix tho, go buy a frickin Dreamcast. Christ, they cost about as much as a PS2 game and the games themselves are dirt cheap, most of the time costing about as much as a supervalue meal at McDonalds.

Sides, don\'t bytch. It\'s not like many of you were too interested in Sega before the switch to 3rd party.. why are you complaining now??

Err, the PS2\'s lineup from Sega doesn\'t look half-bad to me. As good as the GCN one, at least!
