(WWE) King of the Ring, brackets and predictions.
« on: June 14, 2002, 08:24:21 PM »

Here are my predictions.

Quaters:

X-Pac vs. RVD - Winner: Rob Van Dam
Valboski vs. Jericho - Winner: Y2J Chris Jericho

Test vs. Hardcore - Winner: Test
Booker T vs. Brock Lesnar - Winner: Brock Lesnar

Semis:

RVD vs. Jericho - Winner: Rob Van Dam
Test vs. Brock Lesnar - Winner: Brock Lesnar

Finals:

RVD vs. Brock Lesnar - King of The Ring: Rob Van Dam

Those are my predictions, I hope RVD is the first to pin Lesnar, that match would be so great, I hope it happens.

This is going to be such a great King of the Ring

Jericho is becoming great as a heel (hilarious)
Booker T is definately a WWE title holder of the (near) future
RVD will be a title holder in a year or so
Same with Brock Lesnar
and Test has deserved a big push for AGES..

That was actually just what I would have predicted.  It\'s also what I want to see, because I really want RVD to get a push to the next level.  THe only thing is, they might want a RAW vs Smackdown final.  Lesnar and RVD are both RAW wrestlers

it might be Jericho vs. Lesnar then... interesting but not as entertaining as RVD vs. Lesnar.  No build up either.

Yeah.  I posted a while ago that I really want to see Lesnar and RVD in some sort of big PPV match.  Imagine the type of show those two could put on in the finals.  It would be a site to see.

I think it\'s too early for Lesnar to win the KOTR, although hes great and all, so Ill put my money on RVD.

The King of the Ring is usually used to push wrestlers to the next level though.  You often see young up and coming stars win it.  That\'s why I think Lesnar could do it.  I don\'t think Jerico will, because he doesn\'t need it as much as some of the others in the tournament.

Yeah but I\'d like to see RVD get the push he deserves to get to the next level and maybe be a main eventer sometime in the near future.

Well, I think King Booker would have the most to gain from this tournament, because right now he\'s the star on the rise.  Working backwards means an upset, first-round loss for Lesnar... let\'s see what we can do to justify that.

X-Pac vs. RVD - Winner: Rob Van Dam RVD is the favorite, so he has to advance.
Valboski vs. Jericho - Winner: Y2J Chris Jericho I\'m not even sure why Val qualified, but Y2J must advance.

Test vs. Hardcore - Winner: Hardcore I\'ll give this to Holly.  He deserves it for his recent work.
Booker T vs. Brock Lesnar - Winner: Booker T So how in the hell does Brock get his first loss?  Well it has to be special since Paul and Brock have \'plans\' for the PPV.  Let\'s say that Goldust is talking to a nervous Booker beforehand and right before the match Heyman goes into a meeting with Vince.  That leaves Brock all alone out there when Goldust interferes.  Goldust lands a few undetected shots on Lesnar who is practically unphased.  Both Booker and Goldust at ringside grow increasingly desperate and frustrated until Goldust finally goes for a steel chair.  He climbs into the ring and the ref tries to keep him from Brock who is seemingly cornered in a turnbuckle.  The ref is keeping goldust back who then turns at flattens Booker with the chair.  The bell rings and Goldust runs to the ramp.  Booker comes to dazed and is pissed until he\'s announced the winner by DQ!  When Brock realizes what happens he chases Book and Goldust up the ramp!

That would be cool. :)

Semis:

RVD vs. Jericho - Winner: Jericho Now that Booker is bound for the finals, he needs a heel to work against.  Jericho cheats to win.
Harcdcore vs. Booker T - Winner: Booker T It\'s face versus face in a match that no one cares about.  To help matters, Goldust accompanies Booker to ringside.  He\'s funny out there, maybe doing commentary or something.  Holly ends up getting distracted and Booker beats him.

Finals:

Jerichovs. Booker T - King of The Ring: Booker T It\'s Smackdown versus Raw in the finals.  Booker told Goldust before the match that he would do this on his own, and for Goldust to keep his eye out for Heyman and Brock who are rumored to be up to something.  The match is long and legit with Booker climbing to the ropes out of a Liontamer.  He hits the bookend but Jericho kicks out.  Booker gets the knees up on a lionsalt.  Nails the spinaroonie :D and the Harlem Sidekick and wins.

Brock\'s super plan can come later... perhaps he lays out HHH and Taker setting up his first title match with the Undertaker. (Which he should lose - if by interference by HHH!)

I foresee Booker T as the overall winner. With Austin gone, Booker T is gonna be given a major face push.
The fire still burns...

oh Eik *hugs Eik*

You just summed it all up..i was about to reply with the fact that BookerT was going to win it all, and you just did all the hard work for me.

RVD = Star of the future
Brock Lesnar = Star of the future
Valbowski = Not going past IC Title
Test = Star of the future, but will probably be wasted like always
Holly = "How do you like me now?" (or whatever it is) is the worst catch phrase ever, and he is getting some godforsaken push, almost as bad as Edge, but he isnt WWE Title worthy
Y2J = Star of today
X-Pac = Should be killed

BookerT = Star of the next few months
