so im looking to get me a soccer game (some weird people also like to call it football, i hear) and i was wondering what a good one was.

now i like my sports games realistic, so if the games end up being 11-9 or 21-1 i dont want that game.

If you want a realistic football game and fun to play at the same time, there\'s only one option: Pro Evolution Soccer (or its sequel ISS6, which is even better).

PES is the Virtua Fighter of football games and the best game released on the PS2 IMO. It\'s not like in other football games, where you only have to repeat some boring pattern to score. On this one, you\'ll need skill and tons of practice to be good.

Of course, playing PES with other good players is gamer heaven :)

Yes, I agree with Falgarok. If you are going to purchase a football title, get Pro Evolution, or its sequel Pro Evolution 2.

yes, definitely pro evolution soccer, nothing can even hope to compete with that game, don\'t think, just buy the game, you\'ll love it!

True that, however there\'s a chance PES 2 (Winning Eleven 6) will be out in the US. I think it\'s released in Europe in October and it should be even better than PES. :eek:

Otherwise I\'d definatly say PES too. FIFA sucks donkey balls.

Get MLS Extratime. Is also developed by Konami but is not as good as WE or PES. This game is a little more arcade style than PES but not as much as FIFA. With this game you will be getting in the mood of the greatest soccer game. I\'m from Mexico and the only reason why i\'m happy that USA beat Mexico in the World cup is because maybe the USA they will start liking soccer and Konami finally will release their WE soccer series in America. I HAVE A JAPANESE PS2 JUST TO PLAY THIS GAME!!! and WE6 ROCKS!!!
MLS Extratime uses the International Supertar Soccer engine.
