So what do you people think bout the ps3 coming out 2005?

most all of the info on PS3 is basically just rumors up to this point.

I\'ll just have fun with my PS2 for now.

Yeah i know, it would really be messed up for sony to release a new console and crap and we are barely getting our Ps2 charged up.

If 2005 was the release date, you have to also consider the normal "Console Delay" so add 2 years to that and thats your real date.

WOW, 7 years from now, ill be. what? 22 years old, hopefully ill have a good job, a big house, big screen tv, bad a$$ car, fine a$$ wife, and no kids, that way i woulnt have to share the Ps3 with them.

If PS3 does come out that soon.. It will suck. And you would notice this place flame up with heated fights about Sony.. Which I remember happening when PS2 was released and all the problems started.

But I\'ll probably end up getting a ps3 at or near launch.:cool:

Hopefully it wont suck......hopefully. And if those pictures of it are real and thats a real prototype, then i think we will have some problems..........

Well considering the PSX first came out in December, 1994 in Japan and the PS2 came out in March 4, 2000, that\'s 5 years and 4 months between consoles.  Add five years and 4 months to PS2 and its something like July, 2005.  Which is very feasible in my mind.

Good point, but the thing is that the ps2 is only now starting to get the full jist of its self, and about to launch its full arsenal on us, so i say once we get the hdd, and the online gaming, i give them till 2007 when it\'ll come out, but 2005 would be a reasonable, since it\'ll have two years to do what ever the hell its capable of,*stops and thinks why in the hell I always contradict myself* stoopid thoughts.

Yeah, while I was posting what I was writing, I was thinkin the same thing.  I mean, it\'s been 2 years in the life of the PS2, and what, 3 more years left?  I dunno, maybe its just me, but time seems to be tickin a lot faster than it was back in the 90s.. maybe I\'m just getting too old

Full jist of itself?  PS2 is WAY ahead of where the PSX was at this point, even without as much piracy.. it has a HUGE game line up with many A+ titles, and over 30 million consoles worldwide..
