I got my information from an INFORMED BOARD
Thanx for your INFORMED post, but no where on that board does it say that there definitely is any Arena fighting.
Here\'s a post on page 4:
And by eliminating player vs. player battles, they\'ve eradicated one of the most frustrating parts of any MMORPG: Hunt The Newbie
Here\'s someone\'s answer to your question on their message board about fighting each other: page 8
You can fight eachother in arenas, I believe.
I\'m not exactly sure what part of the \'I believe\' makes that post an \'informed post\'. Its simple speculation. Besides, he posted that answer on May 3rd, almost 2 weeks before the commercial version of the game was released. Did you even read through the entire thread? Because if you had, then you wouldn\'t have been asking those lame questions that you did on that board because those issues had pretty much been talked about before you even asked about them.
Second, no where have I read about TWO OPPOSING KINGDOMS. There are 20 worlds in FFXI, mainly in order to scatter people around the world so that no one specific world becomes completely congested. Whichever world you start off with will be the world which you start in every single time you play the game. However, because of the 20 worlds, there is the likeliness that you won\'t be in the same world as a friend of yours. In order to mediate this problem, Square introduced the \'World Pass\' which allows you to call someone to your area or to go to their area when starting up the game. The World Pass can be found somewhere in the world.
So to answer this question about PvP, NO THERE ISNT ANY. Well, as of now. I believe that it is technically possible, and somewhere down the line, Square may possibly add an \'arena\' type feature in one of their patches or upgrades that they do to the system. However this too is simple speculation on my part.
and just in case you don\'t know the definition of speculation (it being such a big word), Webster defines it as: to take to be true on the basis of insufficient evidence
And last but not least, I really wasn\'t surprised to see that you were banned on that site.. and only after 62 posts.
edit: I forgot to mention.. I actually want to hear your response to this Clowd. I mean, if you can give me some other links or anything that might be on your mind, I\'d like to hear it. I don\'t want to see you just run away from confrontation like you do on all your other posts. Besides, who knows.. you may prove me wrong somehow.
