You ask for it kopking and here it is:
I\'ve been playing this game for about 4 weeks, so I think I have seen the game pretty good and I feel ready to do a good review of it. Let me tell you that I’m a big fan of the WE series and I only have a Japanese PS2 to play this game.
Let me start by the beginning of the game. Once you put the disc on your PS2 you will get immerse on football world thanks to a video with Queen music (We Will Rock You). By seeing this video you will now right away that you are about to play “The greatest football game on earth”. In this video you are able to see world stars like Figo, Batistuta, Zidane and many others. The detail is amazing!
But lets stop talking about a simple video and start talking about what is really important: THE GAME!
The main screen let’s you see the classics game modes available on the series: Friendly, League, Cup and of course Master League.
The friendly mode let’s you play using nationals (I think there are all national’s teams. I can’t think of a nation that there is not there), club (now there are 40 clubs), all star or load your master league team(s). Up to 6 players (Using a multitap) can play in a game.
The League mode let’s you choose from a list of 40 teams and let’s you take them into a league, as the same say so, with 8, 16 or 32 teams. You can choose if you want to play every team them once or twice and if you want to have playoffs at the end of the league. (This is the mode I have play the less so I’m not sure of how many options for a league it has but if any of you want’s to know please tell me and I’ll check it).
In the cup mode you have many cups to choose from. You can play International, European, African, American, Asian or the Konami cup. Once again the cups don’t have their official names (World Cup, Eurocup, Champions, etc.) but you can customize these cups to make them just as they are in real life. You can choose nationals or clubs teams. Once again, like in WE5, you are awarded with classic teams, stadiums and special features when you win different cups with different teams. Now there are more classics teams (7). Beat the World Cup and one of your dreams will come true!! You will see replays of great play that your team made in the road to the championship along with WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS SONG!! It’s great!! It almost made me drop a tear!

But the mode that has more changes from previous versions is the Master League Mode. Now building your team right from the scratches is harder and funnier than ever (especially if you choose the new difficult mode: Extreme). Now instead of starting in 2nd division you have to start in 3er. To hire a player now you have to decide how much you want and can pay him but now the division you are matters. Batistuta, Zidane or any big star won’t go to your 3er division team not matter how much you offer them. Besides you won’t have much money to spend when you start. You will have to win games in order to avoid bankrupt and is not easy task to do so! Besides if your teams is doing bad none one will want to go to your team. Another new thing available in WE6 is that you can now train players so they can do better. Also now if you have a good player in your team computer teams will try to buy them from you. So you can also make money by creating good players.
In 3er division there are 8 teams and there are 16 teams in 2nd and 1st divisions.
Now you can edit everything in master league teams. And when I say everything I mean it. You can edit players, clubs names, clubs flags and even clubs chants!!!
Another thing that was improve from last version is that now your Master League Team can have up to 40 players. Only 20 can be on a match (11 playing and 9 on the bench) but this way once you have created your football dynasty you can have 40 players on it to play against anyone.
As you can see, now WE come close to all options FIFA games give you. If not it has already pass it.
Ok, now let’s go to the game!!
WE 6 looks much more smother than WE 5, the graphics are amazing! There is not other football game that come close to this (I have seen FIFA, FIFA World Cup edition, MLS Extratime, and new 989 sports game, I don’t remember the name of it). Every player in the field is different. Uniforms are accurate and update. The stadiums are amazing and they look real in every aspect! Lighting is just great! I can’t find any detail on the graphics department that I’m not satisfied with. The only detail I can think about is that on corners kicks there is a little slow down. Maybe because there are sometimes more than 15 players onscreen at the same time.
Controls remain the same as in WE 5 but now they fell a lot more responsive. I hated when in previous version your defensive player just run toward the ball instead of trying to anticipated the move of the offensive one. Now you have total control over them. Another thing I hated was that after sending a pass to a player he just used to wait for the ball to arrive instead of running toward it to avoid the defense to anticipate the pass. Now you can run for the ball with just pressing a button.
In short words, THE GAME IS MORE REALISTIC THAN EVER!! The goalkeepers are not more gods that can’t be beaten, but not take me wrong. They are hard to get by!!
I won’t do much emphasis on gameplay cause we all now gameplay is the best thing on WE series games. And it remains almost the same as is past version. But if anyone has a question about it feel free to ask. I’m just gonna tell you that gameplay makes you fell that you are actually on the field! IS AMAZING!!
I not very good making reviews but i hope this one do good. Once again, please feel free to ask anything.
