Anyone else having alot of wildfires in your state? There\'s one in Northern Arizona now that\'s burned about 20,000 acres. Moving about 3 MPH right now. A couple of my friends have cabins around where the fire is. Meh, big fire.

In the last 36 hours it\'s grown 10,000 acres.

The gov has declared a state of emergency. As if drownings weren\'t enough, now were gonna burn to death.
The fire still burns...

well aslong as you\'re not hitching a ride on an ait tanker, I think you\'re pretty safe.  However I\'m willing to bet that if you were on the air tanker, the ticket\'s would be cheaper.

And we wouldn\'t run out of gas... (Not like that happens often on a commercial airliner)

Yeah, I\'ve never heard the pilot say "excuse me passengers, this is the captain.  And we are running a bit light on fuel, so if any of you happen to have some type of fuel in your carry on lugage it would be highly appreciated.  Also if everyone could open up their windows and begin to flap, we might just make it over the mountains.  That is all"

Yeah i heard about that. Idiots.

How big is the fire now? Somethin like 60,000 acres. Damn, it\'s grown like 35,000-40,000 acres today. It\'s close to being the biggest wildfire in AZ history. I live about 150-175 miles away from the fire...and i can see the smoke clouds above the mountains. They look like thunder clouds but there are no clouds to speak of in AZ right now. One beeg fiar.

Edit- Yeah, there\'s also a smaller fire that has joined up with this one. Making it even bigger. And to think it\'s 0% contained...with 25 MPH winds expected tomorrow.

The Grand CANYON is rock, a canyon. You know. Was there supposed to be green everywhere? There\'s alot of forest in AZ, a hell of alot more than people think.
