"It\'s a good thing it missed the Earth, because we never saw it coming," Steve Maran of the American Astronomical Society said in a telephone interview. "The asteroid wasn\'t discovered until three days after it passed its closest approach to our planet."

This makes me think, where would be a good place for something like that to hit the earth?

Besides the obvious, Australia...:D

It doesn\'t matter the place where an asteroid hits the earth. If it\'s larger than 6 kms... bye bye guys. A rock like that would kill all vegetables, animals and mankind in few weeks. The end of our history. But take it easy. We\'ve Bruce Willis to fly up there and insert 3 atomic-bombs inside the rock.

I can assure you no asteroids large enough to destroy mankind will ever hit earth.

The chances of that happening are 1% in the next 100 years.  Also, take my word for it, dont listen to statistics scientists put out.

laughing out loud, it wasnt until a few weeks ago scientists figured out what I knew for years now, dinosaurs died in a flood, the real reason how dinosaurs died.  Believe everything they say, ok, we came from an ape?
