Ted Williams died
« on: July 05, 2002, 10:11:03 AM »
One of the best hitters in the history of baseball, Ted Williams, died today at the age of 83. As a baseball fan it just sucks, but he lived a long and successful life.
I bet when the neanderthal kids would make a snowman, someone would always end up saying, \"Don\'t forget the thick, heavy brows.\" Then they would all get embarrassed because they remembered they had the big hunky brows too, and they\'d get mad and eat the snowman.

Well, if Ted Williams wasn\'t bad enough, it gets worse if you\'re a Cubs fan who didn\'t mind Baylor. Don Baylor was fired as the Cubs Manager, and Andy McPhail stepped down as the General Manager.

What a season it has been...God.

See Yuz.
What do Kerry Wood, Mark Prior, Matt Clement, and Carlos Zambrano have in common?

They\'re the pieces to the next great pitching rotation of our time, what else?

GO CUBS!

Such a sad day for baseball. Ted batted .406 in 41 and was the last person to reach the .400 mark!!!

true but it took Shapiro less than 1 year to destroy what hart built in 7 years...........all of the good players minus Thome, and a couple other ones are still around........but after this year probably not (CC Sebathia signed a contract until 2006 I believe).
They traded their ACE Pitcher Colon.....Not Smart.........
