Well for one, FF was made to be a D&D like game.  You had Cicel, who was a warrior, Rosa, a Cleric, Tellah, An Grand Wizard, Ryder, a summoner.  Edge, the rogue.  Those who cast magic had **** for attack.  Those who would whomp had **** for casting (if any)

Also, in FF7, the story made NO sense.  One moment you are after shinRa, then you are after Sephiroth.  The story line made NO sense, and I can write a better story (I can barely get one chapter before mine goes to ****, longer then FF7...)

Well, for one thing Cecil was a Dark Knight, Rosa was a White Mage, Kain was a Draggon, Edge was a ninja, Rydia was a summoner, etc. Just to clarify. ;)

Second, the same could be said about FF4 (as much as I love that game). First you start out working with the empire, then you have to beat it, then you have to gather the crystals to save the world from some jerk you just read about. Its the same in each FF game. They\'re called plot twists. FF7 grew from a simple inner city conflict, to a save the world kind of thing (sort of. I mean, the world was saved, but the human race was wiped out. Thanks for nothing, Holy  ). I loved each and every story in each successive FF. \'Cept FF5. It had a majorly weak story.

I was disappointed in a way with FFX.
Even though it\'s a challenge, it still doesn\'t offer the challenge that FFVII offered.
The beautiful cutscenes in FFX like the one where Yuna walks on water and summons the spirits or the action packed sequence where the Sin creature destroys the huge cannon on Luca were great but then you get back to the game and well lets just say all the save points were too close...
But I suppose it helped...
Overall, I felt down about it and to be honest the graphics were a huge leap from PSone, but gameplay wasn\'t.
Ladies, ladies, LADIES!...Jay and Silent Bob are in the hizz-house!

There\'s already a better RPG than FF7.

Its called Grandia 2.

Innovation and a battle system light years ahead of FF.
July 2002: If you had bought $1000.00 worth of Nortel stock one year ago, it would now be worth $49.00. Enron, $16.50 left. Worldcom, $5.00 left. If you had bought $1,000.00 worth of Budweiser beer one year ago, drank it all and turned in the cans for the 10 cent deposit, you would have $214.00. Based on the above, my current investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle.

Yea, the battle system was incredible, the story line, however, was sub-par at best.

Final Fantasy 7 will never be remade. First it was a rumor. Then it was fact. Then it was stated in a press release that It would be another japan exclusive. When PlayOnline\'s progected cost trippled they cancled the remakes. So no remake of Final Fantasy 7, 8, or 9 is being released for the Platstation 2. That ladies and gentlemen is fact.

aww... i think square would make a lot of money by doin that, i mean, sooner or later they\'ll run out of ideas.. maybe not...they did say that they had no more extra ideas after ff8 came out, but now they\'re on 11, so who knows...
