gta3 what do you think?

This game IMO is ok but not nearly what I think everyone is making it to be. Personally, I have a hard time sustaining interest.

The Getaway will put GTA to silence. Mark my words.

I too find the missions boring... and you know what I do? Why I don\'t play em!

Makes the game so much more fun. Just experimenting with everything is what makes it so addicting.

GTA3 was a very good game, but there was a lot of room for improvement. The combat system needs work. I can\'t stress that enough.

DMA could have done more to make the gamer more money and reputation(criminal rating) concious. By that, I mean more things to spend money on like car upgrades, hired muscle, etc. and priviliges rewarding high reputation like domestic hit offers and having thugs come to you for work.

The supplementary income could have been done more creatively. The taxi cab, firetruck, and ambulance missions were subtle variations of the same thing. What ever happened to robbing banks? How about selling dead bodies to necrophiliacs?

True Crime: Streets of LA, will blow Getaway and Vice City away!, if you don\'t know about this game goto IGN and get some vids, this game is gonna rule.

True Crimes is being developed by Luxoflux, the guys most well known for Vigilante 8. V8 was an adequate car combat game, but nothing spectacular. The Getaway is going to be absolutely amazing. My only gripe with it so far is that I have yet to see a screen shot featuring pedestrians, but I\'m sure it will have pedestrians. If V8 is any indication, True Crimes will only be an average game.

GTA3 Rulez - yep there are other excellent games out there (MGS2, etc.), but GTA3 is definitely in a class of its own.  I\'m not sure sometimes how people can compare different games.  Each game, in my opinion, has its own merits.  MGS2, for example, has awesome graphics (how\'s that Harrier Jet?), but the gaming is restricted and rigid.  

GTA3, on the other hand, allows you the freedom to just shoot pedestrians, do missions, play taxi, cop, medic and fireman, all at your own leisure.  Sure the graphics sometimes go haywire - but hey, maybe its not always all about the graphics!

Take GT3 A-SPEC, awesome game, fantastic sound track, but how long can one spend racing around in a car????

My conclusion is: folks, play it and have fun!!!
