ZoneAlarm 3 Pro

Is the best program ever. I love it. It blocks the usual firewall stuff (and does a great job too), but it also blocks pop up ads and ads that take more than X seconds to load (the X means you can set the value yourself). Or just turn off all ads alltogther. It can also block 3rd party cookies and MUCH much more.

Simply put: I LOVE THIS FRIGGING PROGRAM!

i use blackice myself. i remember that u had to tell zonealarm which programs u want to access the net..  i hated that.

I don\'t think you have to do that. But personally I like that feature - I want to know exactly what programs tries to access the Internet. So what if it means you\'ll have to grant access to a program you don\'t use much; it\'s just that first time it\'s necessary.

yeah, like if u have a trojan or a sub7 virus

blackice will just let it send out info to its heart content

I\'ve been on the net for aslong as it\'s been out. before that i was on Bulletion boards. and i\'ve yet to get a virus or be hacked.

Most people or companys don\'t really bother with small people like me. I also don\'t allow my machine to store cookies, and my cache is cleaned everytime i reboot.

the new version of blackice allows u to stop programs from sending out info, it also stops things from being installed that you arn\'t installing. I just haven\'t bothed to update it yet. I\'m not sure if it stops popups though..

personally, i use norton 2002 antivirus and no firewall other than the one on my router

kinda like sex, its not the same when using protection

PS. I also have norton antivirus 2002. I don\'t use protection. My computer does. as for the cookies. the only site i go to that needs a login is this one. I don\'t visit any other sites that need passwords etc.
