echo- go to any computer store(one that specializes in network equipment is preferred) and as far as yer PS2 being PAL it doesnt matter.

If I have a cable modem and a router in one room and a PS2 in another room could I run a cable all the way to the PS2 or is there a limit on the distance it will travel???

I would if I could but I can\'t so I won\'t (no such computer store where I live). I need a link to a website where I can get an adapter.

So I just buy a usb adapter, plug it in the ps2\'s usb, plug my telephone cord into the adapter and boom im online? No 56k modem needed?

you mean DSL line? if so, yes

BUT there is no actual online service so to speak
you can play tony hawk 3 and thats about it for now
have i mentioned you can play it absolutely free yet?

yup that would work. but just a suggestion tho, get a cheap adapter as it might not be compatible with later online game releases.
