I\'ve said this before and I think I found a solution to spam. Make a forum just for spam. I recall when the Spaminators dominated the forums, mm had enough so in Off Topic the posts would not contribute to the rising of the post count. The post count stayed still. He did that for a while and it seemed to work. We should have that option enabled in a forum of it\'s own. We could put useless crap and save Off Topic for our regular stuff again. Just a suggestion.

I think that\'s why they made a chat room. But no body ever uses it.

How about just disabling post count altogether and allow avatar, color, etc. privileges through time? (i.e. 3 months custom title, 6 months custom colors, 1 year avatar). It would at least encourage members to stick around....

I don\'t think that would go down well... especially for the OT crowd. Some people here thinks post count is a big deal (and in some ways in can be), so to take it away would alienate a great crowd of people.

I don\'t mind post count, but I also agree that avatar and color, etc should be based on time spent, not post count.  

Or perhaps a combination of both.

Yah, I dont see why people should be pissed off.  It\'s not like posting a lot gains you respect.  Just look at Kopking.

Anyways, I\'m sure there are ways that you can actually hide the post count.. so it doesnt disable, just doesnt show it.  That way your priveleges will be allowed after a certain amount of posts still

Why? People would hardly use it for intended purpose\'s. They would just continue to ruin good/decent threads with useless posting.

A spamming forum would only increase,IMO spamming in general.

I think I may possibly have a better solution. The mods could just crack down on spam as they are supposed to.

As for the spaminators thing. Half of the members didnt really spam, they just posted alot. The other half did spam..and lots of it. Then you had the other little groups pop up which only made things worse. These groups consisted of nothing but spammers.
