Just before this thread came into existance, the thread count on the main page was 6999. And now, it is 7000. I hope this doesn\'t get deleted. :crap: Anyhooo, to increase this thread\'s chances of survival, lets cloack its spamm core with an actual discussion. And what\'s in my mind right now is Final Fantasy XI.
Judging from the numbers coming from Japan, initial reactions to the game is uncharachteristically guarded. That\'s understandable, since FFXI isn\'t exactly your traditional FF. Some would argue that this has little bearing on the game\'s ultimate success and time is the only lacking ingredient.
But I\'ve been wondering.... The addon\'s required for this game doesn\'t help in making it more inviting. With all the games out there that don\'t require the addons, will this mean FFXI will be ignored by PS2 gamers? (add to that other platforms, such as the Xbox, are more readily equiped to handle it, at a cheaper price point.) Will this mean that FFXI will fail on the PS2?
I guess the more direct questoin here is..
ARE U GOING to play FFXI on your PS2?
